We stopped at this 1915 Beaux Arts church on our tour of St Paul, parking on the street beside the north side entrance. With services started, we skirted the back from side to side, seeing its huge volume(1 acre and seating 3000), 76’ x 186’ dome, chapels, rose/stained glass windows and the magnificently reproduced Pieta copying Michelangelo’s "Pietà" from Rome’s St. Peter's Basilica. Outside, a nice view to the capitol and the 1886 James J. Hill mansion is just up the street..

I don't think I was expecting to see a gorgeous cathedral that I would not have been surprised to find in the old town, cobblestoned streets of Europe, right here on the top of a hill in the U.S. Midwest. It is absolutely beautiful, and stunning, and worth a visit just to have your breath taken away at the structure and the surprise at finding this, here.
If you are visiting the James J Hill house, definitely stop by here - it's right across the street!

This was a very beautiful cathedral. It is enormous inside. It sits all alone at the top of a hill (Cathedral Hill) with easy parking nearby. It is the third largest Catholic cathedral and sixth largest church in the United States. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.

We have seen cathedrals all over the US. But this one truly rates up there with some of the best. The Cathedral is really huge and amazing! The Cathedral of Saint Paul is a magnificent building with stunning exterior and interior. We were very impressed with the architecture, stonework, marble, artwork and century-old original wooden pews. We visited on a weekday afternoon, and there was plenty of very easy free parking in the cathedral lot. Enter is free.

There's not a lot of opportunities to see cathedrals like this in the USA. This area is of St. Paul is top notch so don't miss it. The cathedral itself is worth the visit for it's grandeur and beauty, but while in this area, stroll Summit Ave which is within feet of the cathedral - this neighborhood is stunning and will take your breath away. There's a large parking lot across the street from the cathedral if you cannot find street parking (which was free). We visited during church service and although a lot of traffic, parking wasn't too difficult to manage. There are a lot of nearby restaurants as well (driving distance, but within 5-10 min).

Felt peaceful. Beautiful building inside and outside. I didn’t do the tour, I walked around and it was a steady traffic. Free experience. I was happy to be in the house of God.

What a beautiful church. We were fortunate enough to experience a full liturgy while on our visit. Quite impressive church. Worth a stop.

Beautiful cathedral, beautiful music, and about as culturally diverse a church gathering as you can get. Priest that preaches most often is passionately anti-abortion, so trigger warning if that will ruin your experience.

This place is amazing and so grand I was in awe. I had to remind my family members not to talk out loud as the church echoed. But it was hard not to get excited over the beauty

There is a small lot next to the cathedral, otherwise there is just street parking. I'd suggest parking along nearby Summit Avenue and enjoying some of the mansions that line that street.

Can't accurately answer but reckon if you contact the Archdiocese Office (Google it) they would be able to assist or advise you. Failing that contact the Local tourist office ? Just make sure you don't miss it , my photos don't do it full justice, Enjoy,
