This place had a great vibe. Small bowling alley with a 70's feel. The cheese curds were great. We ordered the cheese stuffed hamburgers. They were not bad but did not live up to the hype. Fun place to visit but not the best food.

Best burger and cheese curds ever - we had the juicy Lucy burger and the regular cheese curds. Super interesting place to eat at and you can also go bowling. Highly recommend!!

My wife and I stopped by for dinner on the recommendation of some locals... after a little wait (the place is small), we each had a great burger... and reasonably priced. They have about 6 lanes downstairs for bowling if you want to do that, as well.

Saw this place on triple D and knew we had to try it while visiting this summer. We ordered the Paul Molitor, the #7 and the Mickey's Original California style. All of the burgers were very good and pretty large. If I ever went back I would not do the stuffed burger again though. They warn you when it's brought out to wait a minute before you dig in - the melted cheese in the middle is like molten lava! That being said when you do bite into it it's melted so much it's more like a cheese sauce than the melted cheese that would be on top of the burger. It was good to dip your fries in though. The FRIES!!! Those were so, so good! As good as the burgers are the fries are even better. I usually get ranch to dip my fries in but these were so good I really didn't need it. It's definitely a bar that serves food more than a restaurant that serves alcohol but we knew that going in so no issues for us. They had a pistachio cream ale that was pretty tasty also! Never had a pistachio flavored beer before but I liked it. Guy Fieri was spot on for this place.

Overall enjoyable experience. We started with the Flaming Hot Cheese Curds. Whoever came up with that is a genius. They were so good and so spicy. The juicy Lucy's were hit and miss for us. Mine was great and full of cheese. After my wifes first bite all of the cheese fell out onto the plate. So, her burger was pretty dry after that. Overall, we still liked the place.

If were just reviewing 'The Nook' for my meal then I would have rated it 3 out of 5 and an 'Average' ranking... But it was about the overall 'experience', let me explain:
I visited The Nook as I wanted to try a traditional Minneapolis / St. Paul "Juicy Lucy" Burger, (that is a beef burger patty stuffed with cheese). I ordered my burger and also some Nook Cheese Curds with Bacon and Honey as I was curious as to what these were. They arrived and are basically large lumps of cheese that have been battered and deep fried, they are quite nice but are very heavy and obviously about 99% fat and so after a couple I was done... An experience but not one that I would repeat. As for the burger this was okay, but just okay. Honestly I think I'd prefer a traditional gourmet cheeseburger. Again it was an experience and I am glad I tried a "Juicy Lucy" but would I bother again... Probably not. After my dinner I headed downstairs to the Nook's bowling alley and basement bar. This is rather unique and again well worth a visit as they have thousands of $1 bills, most of which have been modified with messages or artwork, hanging from the ceilings and adhered to the walls. It really was a cool and memorable American bar, so it gets a 'Very Good' 4 star rating.

This was a great place for burger, fries and a shake. Fries are handcut, my burger was just the right thickness - perfectly cooked goodness and the right amount of bacon and cheese, and my shake..yum.

Cute little bar grill. We went here because it's on the diners drive in and dives with Guy ferri. We are in a cross country road trip . They had good food , good service, and if we had time a bowling alley downstairs.

Excellent service and great menu choices! My college age son and I went for lunch and we got various appetizers--Reuben Rolls (Reuben-stuffed egg rolls) Walleye Fingers, Cutie Lucy Sliders (3 baby Juicy Lucys) and Nook Curds (honey glazed bacon cheese curds). OMG. You MUST try these curds. Seriously the best I've ever had. Portions were plenty--we had lots to take home. Highly recommend and will definitely return!
