Impressive collection, and we did appreciate several of the pieces, but trying to really understand pieces proved to be challenging at times. Good place for kids to see large-scale art using a wide variety of mediums. I think the adults would have liked it more if we were on a guided tour.

Wandered through a huge meadow admiring the wonderful sculptures. The first sculpture we saw was By Michael Richards honoring the Tuskegee Airmen from WWII, a review I read after our visit described it as depicting 3 airmen and it represents "not so much the exhilaration of flight as dreams of freedom crashed to earth"... Franconia made it their first permanent sculpture, having the original fiberglass cast in bronze after Richards died in his studio at the World Trade Center on 9/11. There are light hearted sculptures as well. They all make you think and the exploration is totally worth the visit

This was so much fun and really cool. We were only there for an hour but could have spent lots more time there. Great for small children!

We really enjoyed---very unusual sculptures-----nice to be outside because some were big-----------but it is very spread out and you better plan on a lot of walking if you want to see them all-------------for us--we had a go kart--one of only two--because my wife has trouble walking-----and it's free

I was blown away by the sheer number of sculptures there. Definitely set aside an hour or more to be able to see them all. There were so many things to see, some I didn't quite understand but I loved that each piece had a plaque telling us who the artist was and a bit about them and the piece. Can't wait to go back and see the ones we missed and revisit my favorites.

The late spring heatwave broke just in time for our vacation, perfect weather to spend the morning wandering Franconia. Some art is created in reaction to thoughts or feelings; sometimes the thoughts and feelings follow after creation. And then sometimes art is just weird and fun and cool to look at. Check out the mirror garden; stand under the blue wave; walk in circles on the sidewalk while you think your own thoughts. Afterwards, find time to create something yourself, cause art is weird, and that is good.

We've lived in the Twin Cities area since the early 1950's. Not that this attraction was there then, but we'd never even heard of it--until we went for a drive to get out of our condo during the COVID-19 pandemic. We spotted it as we drove past, and pulled in. It's amazing! The sculptures range from semi-serious to very whimsical. They're well spread apart (so you can maintain social distancing), and people of all ages seemed to really enjoy them. They have an old car that was, somehow, squashed and filled with concrete. It's amazing--as are many, many of the other sculptures. We HIGHLY recommend it (about a 40-minute drive from Minneapolis).

We discovered this place by accident when visiting Lindstrom. I'm not a person that likes traditional sculpture anyway (I think a lot of it's pretentious), so I wasn't sure what to expect. This place was so whimsical, so full of odd & unusual things, that it really felt like we were transported to another world. Some of these sculptures are interactive, some you need to get close to it to see what it's about, some things pull you in from a distance, and some things are just strange, but in my opinion, that's 90% of it's charm. This is like the island of misfit sculptures, and if you like quirky things, don't miss this place!

My 13 year old triplets, 2 boys, 1 girl loved this park. we were there on a day you could create a sand mold that could receive a pouring of molten metal to create a metal casting of your design. It was great. they worked very hard to get their design perfect. We ventured around part of the park. Then found out the casting would not be done till after lunch. so we drove into taylors falls for lunch. Came back then walked all over the many acres of sculptures. All different kinds. Some were realistic, others were very modern, some whimsical. Some they could climb on, climb thru, climb under. walk over, walk up stairs , even swing on one. it is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon or all day walking around and discovering the next sculpture.
