The view was amazing on a late summer afternoon. We were fascinated to see large tour boats that turned around in that harbor. Fun to watch families on pontoons going under lift and watching lift process while on bridge. Lots of foot and paw traffic to watch too.

Neat bridge design. We walked across it several times during our stay in Stillwater. It is part of a 4.7 mile loop along the river. It was cool to watch the lift section go up and down.

The historic Stillwater Lift Bridge is now pedestrian only. It's a scenic spot to stroll offering nice views of the St Croix River and the town of Stillwater. You can also bike the 5.4-mile St Croix River Crossing Loop Trail that takes you across the new and modern St Croix Crossing Bridge and returns to Stillwater across the Lift Bridge. Make sure this is done in such a counterclockwise manner to avoid the steep climb on the other side of the Lift Bridge. Stillwater is a quaint and historic town offering much shopping including antique stores, restaurants and drinking establishments.

This is a beautiful old, but restored, Lift Bridge that has been completed closed to all but foot and bike traffic. While all the e-bikes on the trail make it seem like a motor bike trail, the walking and biking lanes are well marked and separated. The views of the river and town of Stillwater are what one needs to take in on the bridge. Nice little hike loop over the old bridge and new highway bridge as well.

It's a lovely experience to walk or bike over the historic lift bridge. It's very well maintained and not too long, so a nice little stroll over and back allows all panoramic views of both sides of the river. It is part of a 4-mile loop if you want to bike it. They recommend catching it on the return as there is a steep hill on the Wisconsin end.

Enjoyed walking to Wisconsin on a cold and beautiful winter day. Great exercise and beautiful views. Wear good footwear as the surface can be icy

This was the first time we've ever seen a lift bridge. We enjoyed walking over it and starting the loop trail as well as watching all of the boat traffic on the river

If you had never been by the bridge which connect two states and goes up and down this is the place to go or bike !

Our first time walking across the Lift Bridge. Great way to cross the river and get great views. Our timing was perfect as we were on the bridge and got a close up view of it lifting and lowering. Nice ideas to have both led and bike lanes.

We love that his has become a pedistrain bridge and its so beautiful on the river. Be sure to walk the brdige when you visit Stillwater.
