This is my third time traveling down the St.Croix and it was a beautiful evening and experience!! The view was amazing and the narrators did a wonderful job with the history and added in some humor-you with not be disappointed with Taylor’s falls scenic boat tour!!!

The St. Croix river is gorgeous and it is so fun to canoe down, stop on shore for a picnic and do some swimming. Absolutely loved it!

The Taylor Falls scenic boat tours has all the elememts of a very fun experience. It is easy to reach and park there in Taylor Falls. Everyone is friendly. The boat is comfortable paddle wheeler that does well in shallow waters. The driver knows how to navigate. The tour guide and driver really know the history and the river and the people of the towns there. St. Croix river, scenery, and geological history is beautiful and interesting. After the tour the town has fun shoots to visit. All around a great experience.

Great trip. We arrived at approximately 6 pm and made our way towards the entrance of the dock. We bought our tickets ahead of time on their website, and were told to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure. We were able to enjoy the nice scenic views of the cliffs around us, while waiting to board the boat. The seats were assigned on a first come, first serve basis and we opted to sit on the top deck of the boat. The boat tour departed promptly at 6:30 pm and we spent the next 80 minutes sailing down the Saint Croix river. The tour guide narrated certain sections of the tour and told us about the history of the area and the river we were on. The tour guide also pointed out various forms of wildlife, including several bald eagles, nesting high in the trees. The views on the river were fantastic and we were able to see towering cliffs and small islands. The boat moved at a very good pace, and we were able to capture some scenic pictures and videos of the views around us. We are planning on coming back to the area, in order to hike some of the trails at this park.
Tip: I recommend spending 1.5 hours here if you truly want to see everything.

What a beautiful tour. The information provided by the narrator was very informative and I like that she announced when she was going to have a speaking break. Purchasing tickets online was easy, boarding was easy. It was nice to have snacks and beverages available for the passengers. The captain had a good sense of humor too. I lived in MN all my life and this was the first time for this tour. I have already told many people it's a MUST DO!

great 1.5 hour tour down the St Croix River and back. Beautiful setting in between Minnesota and Wisconsin Interstate Parks. Finished the day with lunch in Marine St. Croix downtown area and a visit to Rustic Roots Winery. Great Day trip!

This was our first time on the boat in Taylors Falls and we’ve talked about doing this for years. I’m so glad we did. My husband, our tween son & I took the afternoon ride on the Princess. Stepping on the boat the crew was so welcoming. We got there close to the boat launch and the upstairs chairs were all full so we sat inside. I don’t think there’s a bad seat on the boat even inside we had a great view with a welcomed breeze from the hot weather. Right off the bat the rocky cliffs were memorizing! Such a beautiful area to see from the view on the water. The crew “tour guide” did such a great job of filling us in on the history of the boat, the area, the waterway and how Taylor’s Falls got its name. They talked enough to educate you but also gave plenty of quiet time to enjoy the views on our 80 minute tour. Our son who doesn’t care for boats said he “really liked it and the views were amazing!” If you’re interested they do have snacks & beverages available for purchase for a reasonable price. This tour will be amazing to go on to see the fall colors and we hope to be back for that someday.

I do this every time I’m in Taylors Falls! The St Croix River is gorgeous and while all the cruises here are amazing, the sunset one is our favorite!

Yes, I am handicapped and use a handicapped scooter. Will I be able to get on the boat with my electric wheelchair/scooter?

The answer is probably yes, it does depend on when you are going because the water level can be a factor. Your best bet is to call the boat company close to when you plan to go and they will be able to tell you.
We are booked for a 1:00 cruise. Can we bring a cooler with Appetizers and beverages with no glass?

I looked in the FAQ on their website and they do allow dogs on the daily excursions but not dinner ones as long as they are on a leash. Good to know.
