Taylors Falls Canoe and Kayak rental was so easy to book on line and check in once there. Ample parking. Great staff at the pick up and drop off point, easy to find.
We did the 2-3 hour ride and it took us 2.5 hours to complete ( we are ages 31 & 37) the Taylors Falls to the Osceola landing. This included a short break. The bus came just as we pulled up our canoe. I have also done with this my family of various ages. Love their rentals as they are clean and have a quick/safe ride back to our cars. Gorgeous views!!!

We've used TFCR for several years and have enjoyed all our trips down to the Osceola Landing (the trip that the kids don't get sick of or complain about). We've gone with friends and alone as a family of five. We've always done the one-way trips but on our last trip, we stopped at a primitive NPS campsite (brown markers along the shoreline) and thought we NEED to camp here! The process is a bit opaque but I wanted to know whether we could rent canoes from TFCR because that would be super convenient as we don't own our own.
The answer is YES, you can rent an overnight or multi-day canoe(s) from TFCR to go camping but you need to call and arrange it, it's not listed as an option on the website. You do need a permit on the Lower St. Croix which you can find on the NPS website for the St Croix National Scenic Riverway camping page. Send it via email and receive the permit in ~3-5 days. My only feedback to the team would be to at least mention you can do custom arrangements by phone, would have saved me a lot of time. You will be looking at Map 8 from the NPS to find the campsites between Interstate State Park and the Osceola Landing. There's a bunch of them including the Eagle's Nest group campground with drinking water and bathrooms.
The staff was awesome to work with and we're looking forward to a fun weekend trip!

It was such a relaxing way to see the river! We lucked out with a gorgeous day and water like glass! The staff here were very helpful and friendly too!

My son and I opted for the canoe trip to Osceola. Absolutely beautiful, relaxing and an amazing experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this.

A fun way to spend a few hours. We don't have kayaks ourselves so it was a nice opportunity for us. It was easy to do. We would do again and would recommend it to others.

This canoe and kayak rental business has been around for decades and always does a great job in working with customers. The boats and accessories are basic but the staff are excellent. I’ve done groups and individual trips, always well managed.

Excellent service. My wife and I are visiting from out of state. My wife made our reservations online. We went ahead and paid for entrance to the park to park near the launching place, although it's not required. The cost for the park entrance is $7.00 per car for the day. Our kayaks were set aside, along with a life jacket. We each picked out a paddle and launched into the river. The trip was easy, enjoyable, and a great way to spend part of the day. The trip is 7 miles, which we did in 2 1/2 hours. Neither my wife nor I were rushing, just a nice steady pace. Once we reached the end, we were picked up and brought back to our vehicles. Overall, we both had an excellent time and will definitely be looking to rent again next time we're in the area.

Staff gave us a great start down this beautiful stretch of the St Croix River. So much to see- I wanted my head on a swivel.

Staff was great. Kayaks exceeded my expectations. They are sit-on and solid plastic, but better than many others. Everything provided was very sturdy. I brought my own paddle and pfd, which I would recommend if you have as their paddles are very heavy (so that people can be as hard on them as they will). Shuttle back after the 2-3 hour tour was great. Saw lots of great wildlife. I usually paddle narrower rivers and creeks, so this was challenging at times as the wind picked up.

Taylors Falls Canoe and kayak rental arranged, rearranged, and rearranged yet again; they bent over backwards to make sure that our five canoe family outing went smoothly. Not a hitch nor a glitch, just a beautiful stretch of clean, clear river. Kudos to whomever barred jet skis and motor boats from the upper St. Croix.

Yes, we are dog friendly. Dogs love to canoe/kayak down the St Croix River.

Ages 12 & Under are required to wear a life jacket, but anyone 13 & up we recommend wearing a life jacket, but they are not required to wear it. Just required to have it on the boat.

We would like to rent a few canoes and float down the river. Are there age restrictions for children? Family of six - Dad, Mom, 12yo, 10yo, 8yo and 4yo. Thank you!

We have no age restrictions. You know your children better than we do. Children 12 years old and under are required to wear a life jacket. 4 y olds are typically fine as long as they don't stand up in the canoe. I would recommend renting 2 canoes and 1 kayak. That way the 5 people can paddle at a time, and one person can sit in the middle of the canoe.
