A Must Stop

We did this museum and the BB King Museum the same day. Both are worth the time. The Blues Museum has many of the all time greats in displays with back stories and interesting memorabilia - they even have the shack Muddy Waters grew up in! We went through each taking about 2 hours at each place. We could have easily doubled that to read each plaque.

Blues History at its best!

We met Razerblade Steward at the Clup Ground Zero. He talked about his personal live and the Blues History in Clarksdale. A very famous spot, where lots of famous artists performed. Projects in education in music for all ages! Its a must to be there.

Amazing Museum!

History, History, History! Can't say enough about to. So much to see and lean about the blues, where it all began. The gift shop is really great too. Should not miss if you are there!

Great Museum with a really special collection.

This is one great place. If you are in Clarksdale, you must go. The proprietor has taken real care to assemble wonderful, rare collections. It's organized in sections. An assistant gave an initial talk and a really useful, detailed leaflet about the exhibits. We also purchased some vinyl and other keepsakes in the shop. Really worth a visit.

Thank You Julia, glad you enjoyed it so much.. Update: at this time we are in process of dissolution of the non-profit, which is expected to be completed in August/September.... The private owners of the building and the collection have retired and like to sell the museum building and the complete collection including a large apartment with 2 separate sleeping spaces upstairs to somebody or a community who would continue it ( with or without the building). We expect that Museum continues in one form or another in 2020, depending on new ownership! at this time the museum is closed until further notice.

Very good museum

Very good museum outlining not just the history of the Blues and music in the Delta but a history of the Delta as well. Good gift shop and lovely staff. well worth the visit especially for Blues lovers.

Nous y sommes allé pour rien, il est fermé. En vente et plus ouvert au public. Il y a une affiche sur la porte qui précise que vous pouvez vous porter acquéreur en faisant une offre. Quel dommage

History!!!! Everyone should visit!!!!

The Rock & Blues Museum is the greatest place to visit for the history of the Blues.
I could have spent hours in this place! Be sure and go to the museum next time you are in Carksdale, MS Home of the Blues!!
