You should take an hour and see this museum. Free admission (but it's nice to drop a few bucks in the donation jar). Lots of items on display and this history of Branson. They even have a nice documentary video that you can watch.

A lot of history to take in. I particularly enjoyed a recent presentation by a local show actor, director, and producer. Each month they have a "Tuesday Talk" like the one I attended. This museum , it's displayed artifacts and a great video , envelope you in the history of the Branson area. Don't be fooled by it's smaller size, this is a real jewel, and free too.

An okay place to stop for a quick free visit. The docents are very helpful. The museum itself is pretty boring. There is a video but it is over 45 minutes so we didn't stay for the whole thing--a couple of our group actually slept through most of it.

Free admission. Friendly helpful staff. Small museum of local history and lore. Nicely displayed. I recommend this!

This is a very small "old museum in an old building" in Downtown Old Branson. It is worth a short visit.

Very nice museum with a great deal of history of Branson and the area around it. The movie we saw was very informative and the artifacts on display were in very good condition and displayed very well. A great place to take the family.

The museum has moved into the Old Reisch Shoe Store location. I was said to hear this because they had a really good selection of shoes. But the museum has much more room now. They have a lot of information, photos, and artifacts abour Branson there. It is stll fairly new and more is being done. If you have a rainy day and an hour or so to kill and like history, they offer a movie about Branson going back to the Indians. We really enjoyed ready about the history of the area. Pick up a Walking Tour map and go on a self guided tour of many of the historic buildings still being used. The map offers details from history and what you are looking at. The new address is 120 S. Commercial street About a block and a half off E Main Street.

I was excited to visit this museum when we first arrived into the downtown of 'old' Branson. We pulled into a small parking space, got the last space walked up and, only then, saw it was VACANT and CLOSED! So disappointing. Wanted to learn and see some of the history in Branson!

The museum changes displays a couple of times a rear. I saw a display of the white river and Lake Taneycomo history. There are photos of the 2012 tornado. There's also a time line of show history. Enjoyed.

We've been going to Branson since our honeymoon in '81. So we know there is a lot of history in the area, and much more that we are unaware of. Museum didn't cover much of it. Would be willing to pay to see a good history of the area (or read a good book) A story still waiting to be told in full - not just snippets here and there.)
