We rented 2 canoes and had a fantastic time! Everyone was friendly and accommodating, they provided life jackets and bags for trash.
The water is crystal clear and scenery along the river is beautiful. We got out at several points and swam to cool off and play fetch with our dog.
Pack a picnic and spend some time enjoying this experience!

We enjoyed the ride. The check in was fine, bus drivers very friendly and helpful. The pick up smooth. But we had an hour ride from pick up after our canoe ride back to our car. The driver flew on back, curvy roads. Maybe it was the trip we chose, Akers. But, I would not do that again.

8 of us rented Kayaks for the Cedar Grove to Akers float, Cliff picked us up and dropped us off right at our cabins, so that we didn't have to worry about car keys or transportation which was great! He gave us great pointers on the way to drop off that definitely added to our float, we would have never found the water fall without him telling us how to get to it. Both drop off and pick up were quick and easy.

Called to check on campsite availability during the week a few weeks out. Guy said they weren't very busy on Wednesdays and Thursdays. When it came up that we had our own boats and wouldn't be renting canoes, suddenly they had big groups coming in and would be full on those days. He said to check up the road at a horse camp. I told him I had camped there many times with a canoe club in the past. Either they have new owners or have decided they don't like private canoes.

We rented kayaks for a four hour float. The staff was friendly and detailed to make sure we knew where we would be getting off the river for pick up. They were helpful and accommodating getting set up and going. Great price!

We rented 2 rafts for our group of family and friends at Jadwin Which is near Salem, MO. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. I called them in advance to know the starting time of trips and went there at the designated time, paid fee ($105 for 1 raft which can fit 6-8ppl based on their height/weight). The store has water shoes and clothing some food items.
They provided safety instructions, safety jackets and took us in a vehicle to drop us off at the river with rafts/oars. We took the shortest distance which is about 4 miles and took us about 4 hrs. as this is our first time rafting for all of us so we took our time. In between we stopped by at 2 places to relax/eat. The current river is mostly shallow with rocks but at places its very deep though. Back at the destination they picked us up and dropped at the store.
Recommend water shoes or flip flops as one has to get into water and push the float if it is struck in the rocks. All i can say is we had lots of fun though some of us in the group was little apprehensive. We had all ages of kids young to teen agers other than adults, all had fun.
Jadwin team is good and provided us with quality equipment. i highly recommend them. Infact i explored other vendor too based on hotel staff recommendation but they are cheaper and closer to Crossroads Inn (where i was staying).

Our family routinely rents from Jadwin Canoe Rental. The staff is friendly and helpful, and it doesn’t get any better than the crystal clear Current River. Highly recommended!

I hadn't been to Jadwin canoe rental for 15 years. Upon my return, it was a nice experience. Their operation was a more fluid, organized one. It was ran efficiently and professionally. The bus drivers had a good amount of character and were very helpful. Life vests were offered for the more wary canoer. The shop where you rent your canoe was not price gouging the travellers. I'd recommend. I'll not wait as long this time. Bringing the family back next year.

After getting a personal recommendation by a fellow diner at a pie place in Rolla, MO, we found this service and were glad we did. Besides transporting us and a rental canoe to and from the river, they also gave us great directions about what we could expect along our route and what we should keep an eye out for (like a marvelous spring that pours out so much water from under a rock wall that it doubled the river's discharge). Make sure, though, that you ask about how crowded the river might be---this place had over 200 canoes to rent plus kayaks, and it's not the only place doing so in the area. Luckily, we had the river to ourselves this time.
