Funky live music venue. Non-corporate /chain bar with local live music. Lightly staffed. But not generally busy enough to be an issue. Reasonable beer selection.

We went on a Thursday night to a Jazz fundraiser. Great music. Wonderful sound system. The Mission only sells beverages but they allow customers to go next door and order food from JQ's. You order, they cook and then deliver to you in the Mission.

went to see the Fried Crawdaddies. Came down from Columbia and we were really happy with the place. great atmosphere and good service.

By chance, we found this place with a great jazz band on Saturday night. Fun dancing, great music, will be back!

My bf and I stumbled upon this place after a friend's wedding over a year ago. We loved it and had always talked about going back the next time we were in Jefferson City. For his 40th birthday I planned a weekend getaway for the two of us, it was a must that we returned to The Mission, and we did. The music wasn't quite the same as we prefer blues, but the experience of friendly staff and gracious bands was still present. We just love this relaxed atmosphere and will be returning.
