I have seen the "Trial of the fifteen" here twice now and 6 years apart.Both times we enjoyed the acting and the story was instructive about history of the island. It gives a good starting point if you are new to the island. The snack bar and foyer are good places to mingle. I believe they cater for functions here too.

The theatre consists of a range of old lounges and chairs which provide a great atmosphere. The "trial of the fifteen' is a well presented comical show. Highly recommend.

Went and saw a film here sunday evening. Bought entry. No ticket needed. Bought a glass of wine a d sat in a lounge chair and had a chat with some others and then enjoyed the film in such a wonderful cinema. Very welcoming

This little theatre will take you back down memory lane it’s old and quirky, where you sink into the comfy old armchairs and leave all the modern parts of your life behind, you can sip on a beer ,wine or soft drink and enjoy what’s on offer, sometimes a play, often a movie, no matter its really quite nice.

Most of the town shuts down early so finding the Ferny Lane Theatre was a blessing. The theatre is housed in an weatherboard building located on the Main Street . The theatre offers movies on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I would recommend visiting the theatre for a fun and engaging night out. The theatre itself oozes with character and comfy chairs! The trial of fifteen was a wonderfully unique play that shares the history of Norfolk in a clever and comical way, enjoyable for all ages.

We were greeted at the door by the theatre's curator and encouraged to purchase a drink from the "bar" to take with us into the show.
The Trial of the Fifteen is a courtroom drama depicting Norfolk's colourful past. The evening we attended there were only three actors, one playing the part of the judge and the other two playing alternately, the fifteen who were on trial.
The audience was encourage to participate from the comfort of our well worn, but comfortable lounge chairs.
We also had the opportunity to speak with the actors in the foyer after the show.
All in all it was an entertaining way to spend an hour or so, before dinner on Norfolk Island.

Great show put on by the locals. A good way to understand the history and conditions of Norfolk in an engaging way.. Worth the money..

Do not miss this theatrical gem! The Trial of 15 is a unique and fascinating way to learn something of the island's history and how we might judge the conduct of those we read about in history books. Not to be missed!
