We visit this store frequently. Love love love this place. Great service. Great things to look at. Not only antiques but candies and Amish treats and repurposed wood made into handsome furniture reproductions. And more. A must see🤗!

Downtown Owensville
We were looking for a postcard advertising the town of “Owensville”. We checked with the Visitor Center and this store was recommended. We didn’t find our postcards, but we found other memorabilia with the city’s name, I.e. an old phone book. If you are a collector, you can find just about anything and if you are looking for something else, they can probably get it. This store looks small, but it is actually very large. Each room leads to another room, almost like a maize. This place is immaculate and organized! I am a collector and many places are in disarray, but not this one! There is also a nice selection of candies from another era, I.e. candy cigarettes. We ended with a bunch. The 2 ladies working here, were very friendly and helpful.

They have signs every few feet pre-scolding you for the very thought of touching anything, and even some more signs to scold you for possibly being offended by the first signs. I wondered if there are just marauding types riding through there on ponies breaking stuff on the regular, or if they just have an adversarial take on customers in general, but when I asked about a restroom and they sent me to an un-air conditioned laundromat up the street in the 95 degree afternoon I took the hint. Lots of pretty things, but Rosebud is just a few miles away and there are a bunch of shops, all of which were far more welcoming.

It was a pleasant experience and the employee was very friendly. I will definitely go back, but next time with a bigger truck!

I've been here a total of three times and I have no plans to return, The first two times were with friends and, while there is a lot to look at, I didn't feel particularly welcomed as a patron. There were too many signs to let me know not to pick up something unless I intended to purchase the item.
I was traveling through Owensville a few months ago during a particularly rainy day. I had gone in to purchase a gift certificate to one of my friends with whom I had previously visited the store. I closed my umbrella with the purpose of placing it into my tote bag and before I could step to the side to do it, two ladies behind the counter, both with rather disgusted looks, chided me quite loudly not to dampen the carpet. No "Hello" no "Can I help you" not even a "Bite me." I thought "Forget this, I can go to any shop in Jefferson City and get a gift certificate and forget about this place."
Again, this place has a lot of stuff to look at but you might be better served at a museum if you want to be advised not to touch anything.

Nice lay out lots of items for everyone. Some items have a rock high price and other rock bottom price . Always a good place to stop while in Owensville.

They always have different items and change with the season. Ladies working, always friendly and willing to give you ideas or just sit spell and visit.

This is a really neat little antique shop. They even have some candy from days gone past. Furniture, collectibles etc.

Spent just under an hour going through a maze of rooms and hallways, in search of antiques. Found a lot of Home Goods type items in the front of the store and some actual antiques further back.
The most fun part of stopping here was the nod to the past candy room. Can't really call it penny candy, because nothing cost a penny, but that's the memory it recalled.
We tried a couple of new things like licorice bridge mix and a walnetto.
It was a nice diversion, but most likely won't make the trip out there for the candy alone.
