Hard to find a $1 theater anymore. Movies are not first run, of course. Prices for food are good also. Not the cleanest place, but what do you expect for $1?

St. Andrews Cinema 3 is a hidden gem of St. Charles. They show fairly new movies (movies that have left main stream cinemas, but haven't been released on DVD yet). The ticket price is $1, which you can't even RENT a DVD for. The concession stand is VERY reasonably priced. Last time I went, hot dogs were $1 and you could get a soda or nachos for about $2.50. Staff is usually high school/college kids, but they have always been polite and speedy. The cinema isn't new, but they keep it fairly clean and comfortable.

You cannot beat a movie for $1! My family and I have been attending St, Andrews since I was a child and I bring my children now. We don't get to the regular theatre often but we love St. Andrews. It's not perfect, but a $1 movie and a few dollars for snacks? Unbeatable for 2 hours of entertainment that normally costs us $50 minimum at a regular theatre for the family!

I took my 4 grandson's Dec 30, 2016 to see a kid movie. Cost me $5 for 5 tickets. Bought large popcorn, large soda and 3 hot dogs. Cost $13.60. Unlimited refills on popcorn and soda. What a way to spend the afternoon. We enjoyed it so much. And the total cost was $18.60. I am making memories with these little ones. They don't care about the cost.

It's $1 to get in. You're going to see a movie that you could probably see at home in a few weeks if you're patient.
But, if you like to go to the theater for the sound and big screen, but you don't want to blow your entire entertainment budget for the month on a night out at a full price theater St. Andrews is great.
We always try to buy popcorn or candy and soda because we know that's what's going to keep them in business.

This is still a good place to see movies for a bargain price, but it seems like the last several times we've gone, the women's toilet is OUT of TP, which is not only annoying- not having TP in the disabled stall is a violation of the ADA: Failure to maintain an accessible feature.
On this last visit, we learned that the new owners had taken over a week or so prior. The person I spoke to said there were plans to renovate the dated bathroom and other upgrades.
We noticed the hot dogs seemed quite salty. Well, the delicious hotdogs we loved are gone and I don't know what the new ones are made from, but they gave both of us really bad indigestion. And if we're not buying a snack, we're not buying soda to go with it.

We have been going to see movies here for the past year or so. The seats aren't big and cushy, they only have popcorn, hot dogs, and candy, but what they DO have are recent movies at an affordable price.
From their website: One buck. All seats. All shows. Every day.
The food is affordable: $1 hotdogs and the most expensive thing is $5 for a large popcorn (with free refills!).
