“Bad Sound, Bad Lighting!”

路易斯街 Delmar Loop 上的选美比赛通常是观看乐队的好地方。但昨晚是个例外。我们有 4 个前排阳台，中央舞台座位。这个很好的座位上的声音很糟糕，听不出政府骡子在唱什么。灯光更糟。我觉得我在舞台上。在整个演出过程中，乐队身后的灯光旋转着，照在我们的脸上。我的意思是从头到尾，我们有非常明亮的灯光闪烁，好像乐队想要看到观众而不是相反。不管谁负责，听听一些建议，我们付钱去看他们，他们没有付钱去看我们。坐着很不舒服。

Outside temps in the 30s, Sold Out show, you’d think Joe Edwards could afford to turn the furnace on to provide a little heat & comfort….Think again. I will think twice before attending another show at the Pageant in the winter.

Bad Sound, Bad Lighting!

The Pageant on Delmar Loop in St Louis is usually a great place to see bands. But last night was the exception. We had 4 front row balcony, center stage seats. The sound in this very good seat was terrible, couldn't make out what Government Mule was singing. The lights were even worse. I felt like I was on stage. Throughout the whole show, the lights behind the band swirled and shone right in our faces. I mean start to finish, we had extremely bright lights flashing as if the band wanted to see the audience rather than the other way around. Whomever was responsible, take some advice, we paid to see them, they didn't pay to see us. It was very uncomfortable to sit through.

Mean, ugly attitude Female Employees

Get rid of the mean, ugly attituded female employees! Rude, rude, rude! I feel sorry for the guys who work there, geez! I will not be back! I'll stay here in Columbia, MO, where we know how to treat our guests!

Eco friendly...at my expense

Went to a concert Saturday evening. It was cold outside and I didn't see one person take off their coat while inside. My feet were numb by the time the concert was over. The acoustics were terrible; all the notes ran together. The plastic folding chairs were uncomfortable and squeezed together. Awarded two stars due to the free parking....oh yippee.

My first how at Pageant

Everyone told me that every seat was good, and I suppose that was true. I had a seat in third row center but I never went to it, I stood in front of the stage with friends. I didn't like that the rows were just loose chairs and third row was on the same level as first so it might have been hard to see depending upon who one sat behind. But the venue is a nice size, not too big, and the view is unimpaired from just about anywhere.

A Melting Pot of Cultures

The people watching is the best! So many different cultures represented in the crowd, as well as in the sellers. Great selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as other items such as jewelry, clothing, soaps, and beauty products. My friends and I could not stop laughing at a sign on one booth. It said "We don't accept boob money or money that has come in contact with other certain body parts." Go here---it is just too much fun!

Fun night

Saw several bands here recently . Gret venue with a large area by the stage where you have to stand. There are tables available, the show I attended was general admission, get there early for best spot.

Venue is on the smaller side. Great concerts take place here!! Every year we see El Monstero!! Friendly service too.

Excellent Venue

We've been to some venues in other cities of similar size and the Pageant is always better in our minds. There are ample options if you want to sit, the venue has a simple layout and is pretty open. Bathrooms are usually clean, drinks are easy to get. Check in is usually orderly and smooth.

Great, intimate venue

We saw El Monstero; it was my first time at the Pageant. Seems like every seat in the house is a good one in that it either is or feels close to the stage, but some areas are not "stepped" like an auditorium so those seats, you are stuck behind whoever you are stuck behind (we were unfortunate to be behind a row of very tall, broad-shouldered men) and have to tilt side to side to see around them sometimes despite a raised stage. Even still, great experience. Some seats are along bars where you can put your drink down. We, in chairs, had to put our drinks on the floor under our seats when we wanted to put them down. Entry requires a hand stamp, which you later realize is necessary to even go to the bathroom and get back in, just because of the layout. The concert we saw had many special effects that I was surprised worked so well in such a small venue: fog machines, large video screens with images and graphics, confetti and streamer canons, flash pots, even hoops and props which descend from the ceiling for acrobatics. So... not just a limited, blank stage. Sound was great, concert was great, lighting and special effects were great. We had a very good time! I'd be happy to go back. Next time I will compare pricing for seating somewhere that's more like a "front row" of that section though (I am 5'5"). Might be worth an upgrade.
