I went on a 6 day donkey hike with my friend and it was a wonderful experience.
The donkeys made it to our hear immediately and we had lots of adventures, fun, laughter - memories that will last! I can only recommend this to everyone who likes hiking and animals.
The tour was perfectly organized by Agostinho from the beginning to the end, Agostinho was always available in case of questions and we truely saw secret spots of Portugal that are beautiful and unknown in a non-touristic area.
The National Park Peneda-Geres is amazingly green, the crystal clear water lagoons everywhere gave us the oportunity to refresh after the hikes and the people in the villages were very warm-hearted and curious.

This was THE highlight of our family trip to Portugal. Augustino’s tour of the village and nature walk was so peaceful and illuminating - our entire family thouroughly enjoyed it. And making authentic natural
Portuguese cornbread in Carmen’s historic kitchen was unforgettable. She also prepared a wonderful meal for us. It felt like we were breaking bread with family. So special! Definitely a 5-star, one of a kind memory.

Our family of four (two children, aged 11 and 13) did the 7 day donkey walking tour from the mountains to the sea. From the moment we arrived, Agostinho was the most wonderful host. Our accommodation was fantastic, our donkey, Carissa was such a special companion as we enjoyed stunning views, and a wonderful bonding adventure with our family. It truly was the trip of a lifetime! If you want to experience the varied beauty and culture of Portugal, and spend quality time with family, this is the holiday for you.

This was a fantastic experience - the ideal way to discover the real Portugal! We thoroughly enjoyed baking bread with Carmen and exploring the local area with Agostinho, which included visiting a traditional water mill. We finished our morning with lunch in Carmen's garden, tasting the bread we'd made along with other delicious local food and wine. It was the perfect way to learn more about village life. Thank you to Agostinho and Carmen for being so welcoming and generous with their knowledge.

We returned to the National Park in Northern Portugal this year because we so enjoyed our holiday here last year - the first thing we did was arrange another guided walking tour with Agostinho because we loved it so much last time. He planned the perfect route for us - 2 adults and 5 teenagers - a beautiful walk with a swimming spot and absolutely traditional delicious lunch of local food from his village, prepared by his mother.
He is so knowledgeable and passionate about the area and we would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Amazing experience. We - mother and adult daughter - did the 3-day donkey walking trip. It was incredible to see how my daughter - a reluctant hiker- enjoyed leading the donkey up the mountains one day and around woods and villages the next. The donkey set a relaxed pace, carried out lunch and was entertaining company ( especially when it refused to walk through puddles).
Overnight we stayed in the most luxurious glamping yurt, equipped with comfortable beds, a proper bathroom and a small but fully equipped kitchen. Being next to a stream with rapids made as sleep soundly after long chats around the fire place. And the best thing: no internet, no electricity - only nature.

We had a really fantastic guided walk around the forests and seven lagoons, with great swimming and jumping opportunities. Augostino was so charming and taught us loads about the local area. Some lovely surprises along the way!! Perfect for families with teenagers who love adventure and nature. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!
