This place is full of energy and is a great place to test out your ghost hunting / researching skills but you MUST be respectful of the place, its history and the people that still hang around the place. These ghosts are very touchy when it comes to being disrespectful so just don't be disrespectful. The graveyard up the road is also a place to investigate but again, respect the place and you'll be fine.

From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed the ghost hunt experience at the Pioneer Saloon. We are from the UK and we were picked up from our hotel by Jilly with another couple who were from New Zealand. Jilly was not only the driver but was very informative and passionate about her role as lead investigator. When we got to the Pioneer Saloon we were met by other members of the team who all made us feel very welcome.
We were given pizza which was very nice and some liquid refreshments whilst they played the episode of Ghost Adventures which had done a vigil at the Saloon. I had previously seen this but for others I suppose it can show what may lead to the night ahead!
Onto the ghost hunt - you may get none, some or a lot of activity this can't be orchestrated however we were lucky enough to get some. Didn't capture any orbs but did get a good audible on my phone which I would love to share with Jilly if possible?
If your into the paranormal then this is a place which is well worth a visit and even if your not this would still be a place to see just for it's historical aspect.

This is a great historical tour even if the night is quiet. Jill and the team are informative and entertaining and the atmosphere and history of the Pioneer Saloon make it a great option for a spooky night. Be prepared for when a motion sensor goes off, you may need new undies!

You wont simply be a bystander for the "tour."
Be ready to interact with some spirits! Whether you believe in ghosts/spirits wont stop you from enjoying the atmosphere of the saloon, the food, and especially the staff.
They do pick you up and drop you off at your hotel, so you dont have to worry about traveling. I did the night time lockdown, which worked out well for an off-night away from gambling.

I did the Haunted Lockdown with a paranormal group. The staff wants to make this an interesting experience so you won't be disappointed. The lockdown is inside the historic Pioneer Saloon built in 1913. If there are ghosts, this would be a likely place to find them.
We toured a few sites outside the the saloon and then went to the Clark Gable-Carole Lombard Memorial Room. Lombard's plane crashed into a nearby mountain and it was here that Gable awaited word on the fate of his beloved and her mother. Sadly, there were no survivors and bits of the plane are still on the mountain.
Our group set up their ghost hunting equipment and we waited. Our host, Jill, explained the history of the saloon and the various sightings that have been experienced--a jukebox suddenly turning on and more. A cheating poker player was shot, a woman murdered, a bartender committed suicide in front of the customers and so on. There are bullet holes in the wall.
It was a fascinating experience. We all felt that we were not alone. I have a ghost meter that has never shown much activity in other locations yet on this night it went off madly and regularly.
It took a while for the saloon to clear out but after midnight, we had the place to ourselves.
If you dare, expect the experience of a lifetime.

Took my son on 3-27-2016. Jilly and staff were excellent and had a lot of enthusiasm for the spirit world. Very informative and made for a very interesting and fun night. The spirits were very active and saw quite a few "orbs" and voices from the spirit box. I am glad I was able to take my son as we have another memory to add to the box! We were picked up at our hotel and driven back after. We were treated with pizza and refreshments prior to our adventure. If you are on the fence about doing this I would strongly advise you to do it as it was a lot of fun! Phillip B.

When you visit the Pioneer Saloon you will want to sample some really good food and stay around for the haunted lockdown. You will not be disappointed in either..

If paranormal investigations and local history is your thing...then this is a must! This is one of the most active sites that will not disappoint. Your guides are awesome and will put you at ease and make it a very fun investigation! We will be back to do this one again!!!

Awesome time at the haunted lockdown. Goodsprings is an old time mining town that has many reasons to have had the loss of many lives. The characters still want to be known and noticed. Real deal. So much fun with a family that embraces and understands what they are caretakers of.

Can you get a ghost tour there, or is it only from Las Vegas? How much are ghost tours? My wife and I are coming down in August for a week in Vegas.

Sorry in delay only just seen your question. You can obviously visit any time during the day or evening but they have ghost tours on some nights.
We are from the UK and booked via Viator which cost £207.05 for two. This along with the ghost hunt included the pick up/return, pizza and drink.
If you do decide to go hopefully you may get some activity but as I'm sure you appreciate this can't be guaranteed however we enjoyed and had a memorable experience.
