Secret Cove Nude Beach is a nice beach on the East shore of Lake Tahoe. It is only a short half mile or so hike from the parking area to the beach. The beach is very peaceful with a beautiful turquoise blue cove. The beach is clothing optional, but when I visited everyone was clothed and there were families. A great place to visit on the East shore of the lake.

Secret cove beach is one of the tourist attraction and it is situated in the eastern part of Lake Tahoe in Nevada state. From the parking area, we have to walk down to the beach.

This is a lovely beach, a bit dramatic with all of the rocks. Perfect on a sunny day, which I missed out on. But I will be back for sure.

I agree with another poster that visited in summer 2021. I had not visited Secret Cove beach in about 6 or 7 years and was surprised how many clothed beachgoers now visit this beach. We visited Memorial Day weekend (both Sat. and Sunday in 2021) and I would say 80 percent of the people were wearing swimsuits, also there were many families with kids on the beach. I don't understand why clothed beachgoers would want to visit this beach, although I do agree 100% that this beach is amazingly scenic. I would say pretty much all other beaches on Lake Tahoe require a swimsuit (except Secret Creek and Whale Beach which are about 1/2 mile south of Secret Cove) not sure why so many clothed families and couples visit this one. I don't mind being in the minority of nude sunbathers as long as everyone is polite, which I have to say was the case when I visited. Secret Cove Beach used to be about 80-90 percent nude back in the 90's and early 2000's but I guess times have changed. That said, we plan on returning this spring and summer even if only 10-15 percent of the beachgoers are nude. It's an amazingly beautiful beach, just wish the water was warmer but I will say it is refreshing !!!!

This spot is beautiful. The cove lives up to the name as far as being tucked away on the shore line. However, the beach was really crowded.

Was there yesterday. Same beautiful beach. More family oriented. Beach was packed. Get there early to find parking. Most had swim suits on. Only 5 percent nude. Have the nudists moved on to another beach?

Spectacular beach- easy to miss from the road except for all the cars parked on the road. It is a bit of a scramble to get to it, but so worth it once you make it.

Um pouco difícil de chegar, com uma decida gigante pelo meio das árvores, mas muito gratificante. A praia é realmente incrível e inesquecível. Vista maravilhosa. A água é gelada, mas em um dia super ensolarado eu achei muito de boa entrar. A praia é pequena e pode ficar um pouco cheia no verão. Mas não se esqueça, se for conhecer, vá com a mente aberta, é uma praia naturalista, em que não é obrigatório tirar o bikini, mas vai encontrar muita gente sem.

Would we be able to get a wagon down the trail? Bringing our inflatable stand up paddleboards. Is it better to bring it down pumped or should we bring it down in our bag and pump it up at secret cove?

I think it depends on your fitness level. The wagon will be very difficult if you park along the highway. If you can comfortably carry the paddle board down inflated you could but the trail can be steep depending where you park. I did see people leaving the cove deflate their paddle boards and carry in a bag back to the top. I needed my hands free to scramble to our parked car along the cliff edge but if you park lower down it may not be as steep.
