100 degrees vs 70??!! An hour from the strip & beautiful drive…2 restaurants open with gift shop. Restaurant on first level had eight dollar drinks, the top level had $12 drinks! We ate on the top level and had roast beef, sliders, and corn dip, both of which were very good! $12 margarita but it was good and $10 for beer.
For $10, you can take a ride on the ski lift and enjoy the slow ride and great view!

Fun to ski or snowboard at Lee Canyon, it’s about an hour away from Vegas. They have renovated the parking lots and also had a new ski lift this year!! It’s a good option if you don’t want to drive too far to Brian head.

We loved Lee Canyon. From the entrance everything is very organized and the place is super nice and clean. The landscapes that you see along the way are already the prelude to a wonderful place. The children enjoyed it to the fullest and slid in the snow until they were tired. We adults did Snowboarding for the first time and we loved it, it is a sport that requires a lot of balance and physical skill, we ended up exhausted. Without a doubt this is a place to return to and how good it would be to stay in this area, it is a majestic paradise. At the top there are two cafes to drink something hot or hydrate. There is also a small restaurant that offers fast food. I recommend this place if you are in Las Vegas, you can't miss it since it is only 45 minutes from the city.

Employees without trainning.
They oferece ski trainning but not even a single employee to give you the right directions to school place and even worst as the responsible for the lifting provided no help but just yelling to move fast in the line of lift even to rhose that never ski before and have no ideal how to put your skis on your feet.
No security ... no standards.
Dangerous .
After 2 hours trying tofinfd a teacher that we have previously paid another disapoitment as the "teacher" could not teach my daughter and she gave up and we had no refund.
The teacher was born in a tropical country and it seems he became teacher recentes and without any trainning.
Be carefull .... as they act like this withou any trainning and security you can face a serious problem with an accident.
I have tryed to make my complaint to Dave the person in charge to manage the trainning site but he was rude and did not offer any help.

Horrible! No organization. Not enough rental equipment for the number of rentals they sold. Bought everything in advance, lift ticket and rental skis/boots. Waited 4 hours to get equipment. They kept saying we had to wait for more equipment to come back in. We finally decided to throw in the towel. They would not give us a refund, only a voucher to come back. What a scam. Horrible way to do business.

Buyer, beware! Do not buy your passes online!
Disorganized Mess and chaos. Purchased passes and ski school online as they strongly recommend you do. Email confirmation with instructions from Lee Canyon state to arrive by noon to pickup ski rentals to attend 1 PM class.
However, upon arriving—it took 4 hours from 12PM to 4PM to stand in lines to get boots and skis. Thus, we missed our ski class altogether as well as any time to ski—-and that was after following their own email instructions which also stated the incorrect location to park.
Having purchased our passes online ahead of time, we asked for refunds but only received credits which are only good at the resort as did so many other people who were only in town for the day with a useless credit.
The resort was not only short staffed and operationally inept.
So many skiers were extremely upset with the entire situation.
If you are forced to ski here, bring your equipment or rent in town but save yourself hours of angst by not renting here.
There is only one slope open so recommend waiting for at least 8 inches of new snow so they can open other trails and the new lift.

We already knew Vegas, but we had never been to Lee Canyon, as we were with children we thought they would have fun because they love the snow and nothing else, but... it's not a snow park for children, it's a ski resort where The space is disputed and we were sometimes asked for permission. There are more spaces to enjoy the snow, but it was really deep.
There is a place to have a very delicious hot chocolate.
Tip: bundle up, as it's that cold that burns, protect your head and face, as well as your hands obviously
It's worth the trip back and forth! Stunning landscapes

Chair lift rides in the summer - what a view!! We took our 3 year old son and our dog up to Lee Canyon on Sunday July 9th not sure what to expect. To our surprise there were TONS of activities and the whole place was buzzing with activity. There was an amazing downhill mountain bike course where a chairlift would take you and your bike to the top and you could ride down the trail zig-zagging down the mountain - super fun! They offer bike rentals if you didn't bring your wheels. My son and I rode the chair lift up the mountain, which was about 20 minutes round-trip and once we got to the top and turned around facing down the mountain with an incredible view - I was reminded of my fear of heights! If you aren't a fan of heights, I'd maybe stay away from the chair lift ride, but I took some deep breaths and tried to enjoy the spectacular views as a clung on very tightly to my dangling chair.
There was also horseback rides for the kids, cornhole, a little halfpipe for scooters or skateboards, two restaurants serving beer on tap and burgers/bar food. So much to do and a great way to spend a day away from the Vegas heat.
The parking lot also leads you to the Upper Bristlecone Pine Trailhead - and we walked for about 30 minutes on this trail before my son got tired. It was a beautiful trail and we plan on heading back there to do the entire thing, but we were very pleasantly surprised with how well-maintained and gorgeous our surroundings were.
I would absolutely recommend spending a day with your family up here in the summer. I'm not a skier so I hadn't been to Lee Canyon before, but we really had a great time and plan on coming back soon. Also on our way up the 156 from the 95 freeway, we saw wild horses on the side of the road eating grass and just kinda hanging out. Tons of people had set up little picnics, hammocks and grills to enjoy the scenery - we might have to do that next time as it looked very nice and relaxing.

Part of the Hidden Las Vegas. Most people when visiting focus on The Strip and are not even aware that Las Vegas, sitting in a valley, is surrounded by mountains. The main mountain is Mt Charleston at almost 12,000 ft high. Being so the the NW slope is usually covered in snow. The main activity area is the Lee Canyon Ski Area, where you can ski, snowboard, tube, sled, etc. The facilities are modest so don't get you expectations too high. It's not Tahoe, Aspen or Banff. But you can play golf in the morning in the Las Vegas area, then head up to Lee Canyon to spend the afternoon skiing. The drive up is beautiful. Conditions permitting, take the scenic road (Hwy 158) connection Lee Canyon to the small town of Mt Charleston. Amazing views. Definitely a great way to break up the monotony of the smoke filled casinos, get some fresh air and do something fun. Kids will love building a snowman. We got 3 ft of new snow last week, and another 2-3 ft forecast for the upcoming week. Yes...FEET!

Great ski area right outside of las vegas. Last minute idea turned into an excellent day of skiing at a very nice cute resort. I will definitely be back

Is it OK for us to just buy the parking pass and go there to take some pictures? I saw on the reservation saying that with just parking pass (no lift ticket), we might be turned away? Can someone please verify that? Thanks.
