I really love this park because of the river rushing through it and the various perspectives. Here you find a little outdoor theater which is loved and used. Right in the middle of downtown so good location.

It's a cute little covered theater space in the middle of the pretty park along the river and part of the River Walk area.. Come and walk around, or come for a show.

On the island in the beautiful Truckee River with parking and urban amenities nearby, the Wingfield Park amphitheater hosts public events ranging from classes and small scale community and dance experiences to huge, loud concerts.

This is a beautiful outdoor theater with great parking. Especially good for the outdoor performances during Artown in July. We actually attended 2 performances (Jazz band and Sheléa) and loved both. For those living in Reno, a place that is highly recommended!

Free event on Wednesday night but group was Squirrel Nut Zippers (one of my favorites). Pros: Artown is free, always great events, beautiful night in a park with vendors. Cons: Have to get there 2-3 hours before events, huge competition for seating on ground (blankets or low back chairs) I recommend a lot of patience with kids, noise and picnics. I will go again!

This small pavilion in the middle of downtown is a place for concerts and special events. When nothing is going on, it's not much to look at.

During the month of July is Artown, with live concerts and movies in the park. Beautiful setting with the Truckee River flowing by, fun for all ages.

Look into Reno Events websites and look for this venue. Do bring low-back chairs or blankets to enjoy whoever will be playing. You can bring small coolers, too. You will be walking distance to local restaurants, casinos and art/culture areas, as well. Great place to also walk along the river after lunch or dinner.

You cannot have any animals on the grass, so I stayed on the bridge and listened to music on 4th of July, with my dog. I brought my chair, and listened from above. I was just as happy.
