My second time visiting Woodlands Wines for a tasting. The first being in 2022 where I met possibly the most imaginative and passionate "tasting" staff ever. In fact, it was on the back of her describing the "Margaret" cab sauv, likening it to a warm hug from a grandmother, that stuck in my mind and I decided to drop in to taste and buy a bottle this time round. Well, Claire, the wonderful French staff, she remembered my husband and me, and we had yet another great and informative session and walked away with two premium bottles for our collection. Light cheese platters can be arranged at additional cost for the tastings, which are free (rare these days in Margs) but you can be sure that you'd want to take a bottle back with you. Woodlands remains one of my select top producers in Margs, in fact, among my top 2. The wines have a quality and depth to them, and it is worth visiting!

We had a tasting and a platter lunch here. Our welcome from Lisa was very friendly and her selection of 3 great French cheeses to go with our great platter prepared by William was spot on. The wines tasted were all very good. Especially the reds. Well done Lisa, William and the Woodlands wine making team.

A lovely experience, in December 2017, we were recommended Woodlands by the lady we stayed Airbnb with. we took a bottle home to London & enjoyed it with friends for Mothers Day

What a lovely way to spend a couple of hours! We were seated at a table with a view over the vines and while we shared a scrumptious cheeseboard, Diego looked after us beautifully with samples of half a dozen reds and whites. What made it so enjoyable apart from the cheese and the wine was Diego’s knowledge about the vines and all of the factors (position, sun, weather, age) that influence the flavour of the end products. It was a nice touch also that the wines are named after significant events in various grandchildren’s lives. Nicole

Venue is stunning, service is even better. Everyone was so friendly, efficient, attentive and informative. The follow up with Lisa in memberships, her support is worth the membership price alone, the wine is a bonus! Thank you everyone for such a great experience!

Woodlands was the highlight of our weekend of tasting. Our host, Sarah, was very informative and we tasted some amazing wines. Shout out also to the kiwi woman who so politely fit us in without a booking and made us feel welcome. The wines were exceptional and the cheeseboard was to die for. Thank you, Woodlands.

I arrived at Woodlands after 4pm, I knew I was cutting it fine, Andrew generously seated me and let Rachel take care of my tasting. This English rose was wonderful, I was able to taste a marvellous selection of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon blends, these wines were a treat after a day of tasting. I’m so glad I had Woodlands on my list, it should be on yours too.

This winery had been recommended to us by a friend who advised that it was one of the best he had been to during a recent fortnight stay in the Margaret River. How right he was and what a great recommendation.
The cellar door is located in amongst the trees overlooking the vineyard. We were warmly welcomed by the delightful and extremely knowledgeable Sarah who showed us to a table and gave us the run down. Wine tastings were free and if we wished we could order a cheese platter or a charcuterie plate making our own selection of cheeses from the large range available from their cheese cabinet. A selection of two cheeses was $32 and three cheeses $42. We had the two cheese board selection that came with very generous pieces of cheese, two condiments, focaccia, crackers and slices of apple.
There were also three summer menu items (caprese salad, salmon gravlax and octopus) that were accompanied by a glass of Woodlands wines for $20 per head.
As we savoured our cheese board Sarah took us through a range of different chardonnays including the "Clementine" and the "Margaret" explaining the derivation of the names but also the differences in terroir and styles between them as well as several Cabernet Sauvignons. We particularly appreciated tasting some back vintages of both.
We very much enjoyed all of the chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignons and greatly appreciated Sarah's hosting and attention. It was certainly one of the best, if not the best, tastings we had done on this trip.

Très belle découverte de ce vignoble, un très agréable moment de dégustation avec Diego qui nous a fait partager l’histoire de ce vignoble. Une très belle surprise lors de cette dégustation, nous avons apprécié la gamme des vins et se sera un plaisir de les déguster en France. Merci Diego
