Awesome white water experience. Did class 5 in Colorado and it scared me to do it again. Decided to try it again in errol. The water was at 4000 and it was awesome. The guide and his kids were awesome. The only bad part was the campground. I had kids and woman with me. The outhouse to them was unbearable. Other than that it was an awesome trip

What a fantastic day on the water! This place is a real gem. The owner and his daughters took us down the river 4 times and then we spent the day tubing down the river afterwards. The owners/staff are wonderful and accommodating, they gave some of us a nice shady spot to chill while all the kids went down the river all day. We got everyone wet in the rapids but it was all very safe and fun. I would totally recommend this place.

Having rafted on lots of big whitewater I was pretty skeptical about how fun this would be...but It was SO fun. The guides were great, and it was really, really fun to be able to split up and take duckies down the river and ride in the tiny raft too. I felt safe the whole time, the river is not that big, but they made it fun!
After your 4 rafting runs you get free access to the tubes, and you can just make circuits. Again, I was initially kind of "meh" about the tubing. SO fun.
My kids LOVED it. My in-laws, adventurous 70-somethings, also LOVED it.

Not sure what the negative reviews are all about...my wife and I had an excellent introduction to whitewater rafting and kayaking with the help of this outfit's crew, who were very friendly and helpful. For the money paid, we felt it was an excellent value for 2 hours on the water, with instructions by a guide included. The whitewater section is short, but you get four runs...if anyone in your party hates it, they can sit out and wait for you. Perfect for first timers. We plan to bring our teenage kids with us next time, and I'll bring my fly rod next time (the same section of the river is also a fly fish only area).

Po dunk outfit with vagrants working for them. Most likely outcasts from another rafting company. Go to the Forks and paddle a real river. Worst place to bring your family. Campground is gross and not maintained.

This was by far the best rafting experience my husband and I have gone on. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, from safety measures to tips on how to go solo. They are great at assessing your skill level and introducing you to more thrilling adventures by offering different rafting options while following behind you making sure your safe the whole time. Will definitely be coming again and recommending it to anyone looking for a fun time!

The staff and service I encountered at Northern Waters Outfitters in Errol, NH was the most unprofessional that I have ever experienced in my 30 years of wilderness travel.
After a 2 hour paddle to my campsite on Lake Umbagog, I unloaded my kayak and discovered that the kayakhad taken on significant water due to a leak in the rear bulkhead. There was a gallon or two in the compartment, along with my belongings. It was a mess. And the added water weight explained why the boat was dragging.
I left numerous polite voicemails and wrote several emails over the next 24 hours, describing the problem and requesting a replacement boat. No one returned my calls, and the one email I received indicated I'd get a replacement kayak brought to me that day. But it never arrived. With an impending storm, we thought it was risky to attempt to paddle back in a boat that was already leaking, and with no replacement boat, we decided to be safe and cut our trip short to avoid paddling in the rain. So, our trip was cut short due to the leaking boat provided by Northern Water Outfitters. More so, it was cut short due to the complete lack of response to the problem.
When I arrived back at Northern Waters Outfitters, I had to hunt down someone to assist me (as it had been when I'd initially rented the kayak). When I explained what I had been through to the staff member, he belittled me and insinuated that I was not "patient enough" when waiting for the replacement boat. Note: We had been waiting all day the previous day, at the campsite. We had not been able to kayak around and enjoy the lake on our trip, because we were waiting for the boat, and because it didn't feel safe.
I was forced to cut my trip short as a storm was moving in and I did not feel safe returning with leaky boat, along with taking in rain (no spray skirt was issued).
This staff member was rude and condescending. He again stated, with an attitude, "I was bringing you the boat".
When I explained that my concern was based on my extensive experience and knowledge as a wilderness guide in the past, he reacted by mocking me for being a "world renowned expert" (which I never claimed to be) and continued to belittle me. At that point, I told him I expected a refund for the full rental period. He responded with statements such as "you'll get your refund" "whatever you want, expert". His attitude was perplexing, as I'd been extremely patient and polite for the duration, despite the circumstances.
While I was issued a refund for the rental, no one from Northern Waters Outfitters had contacted me with an apology or to learn more about how they could have prevented this situation in the first place. Based on the condition of their boats, their customer service, and disregard for my safety, I cannot recommend this outfitter to anyone who is seeking to rent kayaks in Errol, NH. I see that this business has good reviews in the past. Perhaps the owner needs to take note of who he's leaving in charge.

We had a great experience white water rafting. Stewart and Thomas were great hosts and our family had so much fun! I would highly recommend this activity!

Great hosts and advice on and for our trip out to Cedar Stump Campground. They took care of all the details, we can't wait to go up for another visit.
