Most rides closed on 10/20/2024
The rides that are operating the people are taking lunch breaks and shutting the rides down, the facility is not staffed enough to do a rotating schedule. All of the water rides are closed due to “low water levels”… not believable.
Arrived around 10:40 AM and the blue coaster was under maintenance the entire time we were there, so the only big ride was the dinosaur one in the back.
All the gift shops and food places are open though!
This is a run down cash grab. Go to Santa’s Village instead.

Took our kiddos here this summer, used to go as a kid and it was great. Place has changed for the worse however; live animals are gone, rides down and the most bothersome issue is the "raffle" they push you to sign up for to only sell your information. I won't be purchasing anymore tickets just for that issue alone; there are other kid friendly places around like FunSpot, Whales Tale, Santa's Village, etc. Enough is enough.

Hello, Steele Hill Resorts is the company that runs the raffles at the front of the park. By filling out your information at their booth you're agreeing to be contacted by them. After Labor Day our water rides close for the season- and this September we unfortunately had to close the Pirate Ship & Swan boats due to low water levels. We're sorry you weren't able to enjoy these attractions, and hope you'll join us again in summer when they're back open!

Moo Lagoon is a great addition to Storyland. Was disapointed to see Bucaneers Bay wasn't running, (sounded like it hadn't been all season). Is there a plan to replace the Flying barnyard?? all the other ides were good and enjoyed by all.

I went two days last wk , once w the older (11/10/7), and another day with the 2 and 4 yr old grandkids.
Both days my 5 grandkids had a wonderful happy day.
BUT I am astounded, and compelled to say CHARGING any amount for parking(no sign for free across the ST) is OUTRAGEOUS....... Given the high price of a walk up ticket >$75 for a 3yr old and up.
Website advertises online day tix for $39.99 and UP.... not on wkds, and not including the processing fee. The $29 and up senior tix was $43 online for sunday.
My daughter did spend $26 for a quick snack on way out=1 coffee, 1 fried dough, 2 ice cream dips.
They were happy, and yes, I will return, but only 1X/yr and only midwk in the future.

Thank you for leaving us a review- and yes, there are plenty of ways to save, like parking in one of our general parking lots, bringing food/snacks in along with you, or by purchasing a Season Pass for free parking, unlimited visits, & discounts off of food & retail! I have been coming to Storyland since I was a little kid. I've been bringing my kids here since I've had them. That's over 36 years visiting this park. It used to be a great park for kids and families. This year, we bought our tickets online early when they were on sale. Parking was described on the website as free. However, on our recent visit (Aug. 20, '24), we encountered a problem before we even parked. There is now a fee of $10 to park in the regular parking lot. All the flyers and brochures that advertise StoryLand state that parking is FREE, as did the website when buying tickets. (They have now revised the website to clarify that you can still park for free across the street, if that lot is not full, but there is no signage upon arriving that says this.) What's worse is when you try to pay the $10 on the link they provide, it says there is a service fee of $1.50 to pay. So, it's really $11.50! The agent who checked us into the park semi-apologized for this by saying the parking fee was added only a month ago, and it's "a third-party" that charges it. Whatever that means.
As to the park itself: many of the rides are still operating as in the past. They even added a water-park-type section. But several rides are inexplicably closed. No more large swan boat. The pirate boat was closed when we went as well. The Los Bravos Mine Tour was, once again (like every year the past few years in August) "closed for the season." (See the photo.) Why? When we visited in August prior to 5 or so years ago, it was always open.
And the park itself was not only full of trash everywhere, but not one bathroom was reasonably clean. Some had doors that wouldn't lock. In the past, the bathrooms were cleaned throughout the day due to high volume of visitors. You can't expect a family amusement park to preserve clean bathrooms all day without staff to clean it!
So, there are enough reasons to avoid this park until (and IF) the new managers rectify these problems.

Hi Mark, thanks for leaving us a review. Preferred & General parking was implemented after printing our park's brochures. When this change was made, we immediately updated our website to let guests know what to expect. We also have a large free section behind the aquarium, as shown on the map on our website, which is often underutilized- we're working on enhanced signage. The "Story Land Queen" became inoperable due to lowering water levels in the pond, which is also why the Pirate Ship was closed during your visit. The Silver Mine is permanently closed and will not reopen. We're glad you we able to enjoy these attractions during their time at our park!
In response to your feedback on our restrooms- we have staff cleaning each of our facilities constantly throughout the day, but during busy periods it can be difficult to keep up. We encourage guests to let us know if a particular facility needs attention, and we're looking into additional ways to enhance the cleanliness of our facilities further, especially during busy periods.

Do not waste your money and attend the “Daniel Tiger” breakfast before park opening. #1 the breakfast was disgusting and old Dunkin’ Donuts munchkins and powdered eggs…all inedible! Daniel Tiger didn’t even interact with the kids. He just stood there in the corner as kids tried to hug, high five, or take pictures and he just stood there literally lifeless. It was awkward and sad! Also, the Peter Pan, Alice and tinker bell characters were the exact opposite. They were obnoxious and in your face nonstop. It was honestly the weirdest character interaction/breakfast ever. Do not waste your money—we felt completely taken advantage of and want to warn others not to buy tickets. Watch Daniel Tiger in the comfort of your own home while eating a delicious breakfast, and then come to the park for 9:30 opening. Don’t waste your money like we did!!!

Hi Kristin, thank you for leaving us a review. We're sorry you did not enjoy our Character Breakfast. This optional add-on experience is not marketed as the "Daniel Tiger" breakfast as it mostly centers around our classic fairytale characters as well as Daniel Tiger & Katerina (when the weather cooperates), who make an appearance for photos with families. We have hosted thousands of guests this summer at our Character Breakfasts, and many children enjoy the opportunity to get extra time in the park and with our characters an hour before the park opens at 9:30am. Your comments regarding the food quality have been passed along to our Food & Beverage team, and next time would encourage you to let our staff know if you found a food item to be not up to your expectations, or if there is anything else you would like to have offered.

My kids and I went to Storyland a few years ago and then again this past August.
Very very disappointed. The park itself was filthy, trash cans were overflowing and not emptied regularly. There was trash all over the park. The bathrooms were horrible and filthy. The bathhouse changing area wasn’t clean or well kept up. It was very dirty.
I will not be going back with my family due to the lack of cleanliness. I don’t recall the park being like this a few years ago when we had gone.

I spent $150 on 3 tickets (give or take a few dollars). Within a short amount of time they closed due to inclement weather. I was not offered a rain check after the park closed (which is obscurely located on page two of the FAQ) and will not honor rain tickets if you leave without getting a physical rain check. the CSR was so rude and unaccommodating he said “too bad” when I asked if he would help me in good faith as this is a lot of money and the site does a indicate it needs to be a physical rain check. I have proof of purchase, waited for hours in the freezing cold only to have their staff treat me like garbage. I have documented their policies and will try to find recourse as their CSR refused a supervisor to try to remedy this. 150 for sitting in the rain for hours with two six year olds. Thank you Storyland, I am one person but I will spread the word of there uncaring and rude staff

My daughter loved it. It was very cute and the Peter Pan and Wendy show as well as the Daniel Tiger show were adorable. I loved the independent play area for her, it was a nice place to unwind, talk, and be creative. I was surprised to find a water fountain there and there were several nursing rooms throughout the park. Even though it was obviously a place where live animals used to live, we also enjoyed the farm section of the park for the same reasons, it was cute and less stimulating. The old houses were charming. There was even a real old lady in a shoe, giving stickers to the kids who went in!
For the bad parts, the park did seem money hungry, and we felt tricked by all the signs and advertisements to the kids "Don't forget to get your driver's license at city hall!" that didn't have a price until you went in and had the picture taken. Just put the price on the advertisements so it doesn't seem complimentary, and don't advertise to kids when their parents might not have the extra money. I also thought, maybe naively, that there would be any semblance of international food at the world food fair. There wasn't.

Hello, Does anyone know much about the height requirements for the rides here? A lot of them say toddler with an adult. Would my 11 month old be ok to ride those with me? Thanks!

11 months might be a bit young. Most rides were too big for my 2 year old. There are plenty of other things besides rides to do, but 11 months is probably too young for about 90% of the rides.

STAY AWAY..not worth the money. We actually got our money back as well as 2 other families, that's how bad it was.

It was about $100 for the 3 of us to get in.Lunch was a salad, burger, fries and 2 pieces of pizza for around $50. If you want to buy drinks it's more.

Hi I'm disabled & I can't go on the rides I'm just going for my grand babies do I have to pay to get in?? & how much does it cost for the kids to go on the rides they are 15/8/& 6 are there something like buy bracelets & they can on any rides all day its my 1st time& the website really doesn't tell me much HELP!!

You will need to pay whether you go on the rides or not. A ticket gets you on all the rides. No bracelet. $31 a ticket ages 3 and up. You can go the day before starting at 3 p.m. for free if you are heading back the next day. Nice little perk. If you buy in advance online they do have more discounts the earlier you purchase them.
