Took a private sleigh ride with my wife.Our sleigh “driver” Kat was friendly and engaging. The ride offered beautiful views of the estate, and along the river. Complimentary bottle of champagne was included for the ride, and several campfires were available to warm up afterwards.Very enjoyable experience.

My wife and I had a weekend getaway and we booked the sleigh ride that reserves the back seat for a semi-private ride that is slightly elevated for a better view. I have to say I think we enjoyed this ride through the snow more than we had anticipated. We did not realize the grounds would be so beautiful with all of the lighting, and we did not know about the ice skating on the premises which added to the ambiance of the ride. Made us wish we could skate! We enjoyed the hot cider, but thought we read there was hot chocolate after the ride, too, but did not see that. Glad we brought our own blanket. It would only have been better if it had been snowing during the ride. We would do this again if in the area.

We chose the Semi private seat on the sleigh ride and opted for the hot cider. The cider was so good, perfect on a cold night. The ride was nice and Nestlenook is so pretty when it’s all lit up at night. Although the walk to the sleigh was on a rubber type of surface, there were a few icy spots that were quite slippery. We did ok, just had to be very cautious. Would definitely do again.

The horses appear to be very well cared for. They and the sleigh were beautiful.
There was a cozy outdoor fire pit at the pick up location. Our group enjoyed the tail braids on both horses. We could have done without the music piped in. Our driver, Tyler was excellent and has a good sense of humor. We loved when we entered the forest and everything was quiet and serene. We went along a lovely river and it was actually snowing which added to the wonder of the experience. It was fun passing the horse pasture as some of the other horses came over to visit. There were even some ice skaters we saw on the pond. All in all a truly enjoyable time.

NOW this is a place we've been to many many times over the years and never get tired of returning there. Always have a great time taking sleigh rides especially when there's a lot of snow. Nice grounds with open pit fires 🔥 a must stop if your in the area.

We were a party of 4 that opted for the private evening sleigh ride. It was great fun! We selected the bottle of champagne and our guide took us around the property and spoke to us about the town and history of the property. I think his name was Seth(?). He gave us great recommendations for things to do and restaurants to eat at. This place is very family-oriented and was extremely busy while we were there. We went the last week in December. Parking was a challenge but again, I think it was due to the time of year. We only did the sleigh ride and that was all we needed. You don't need to spend a lot of time here, just 2-3 hours I would say as it does get crowded. Overall though, the sleigh ride was a fun experience for our night and I would recommend it.

First, it was a muddy, unstable. slippery walk to where the sleigh was. My wife is on a cane. No warning for the handicapped. We made it to the sleigh. First the driver tells people already in the sleigh to move over. It's going to be tight. Then i asked for step to help my wife getup in to the high step on the side of the sleigh. The driver I guess didn't feel like getting up or helping because he couldn't be bothered. So we had to walk back to the office and they did return my money. And it may be isolated to that particular lazy driver. But this was a real disappointment, especially since it was our 25th wedding anniversary trip up to the area from RI. So much for our romantic 25th anniversary sleigh ride. And it was humiliating for my wife as well.

What a great find. Winter day just after snow storm. Beautiful grounds. Loved the oversized fire pits all burning with nice fires. We did the private sleigh ride. Our horse was named chocolate and our driver was Tyler. He did a good job showing us the grounds. Fun time. Would recommend

We went NYE weekend which may be why our experience wasn’t great. The property is pretty and quaint, but it became very touristy quickly. It was super crowded, the snow was kind of gross and the parking lot was treacherous with ice and puddles. Family of 5, we booked the sleigh ride and went ice skating. The prices are very expensive for what it is. I would say if you can, book the private sleigh ride. It’s annoying that we got to our sleigh first, but were seated backwards facing, they really pack out the sleigh and it’s not great for the views. The River area of the ride was nice, but the place doesn’t seem well maintained for the prices they charge. They could at least throw some salt or sand down to help the ice. I will say, staff was nice and helpful. The ice skates rental quality was not great and the staff didn’t know how to size my kids. Free hot chocolate at least. We did it for the kids, otherwise didn’t feel worth it.

Unfortunately there was no snow or freezing temperatures but still a nice visit . We did the 4 person sleigh ride using wheels . Joe was our driver.He made the ride very enjoyable.Toasty fire pit outside to relax. Area is outstanding. Huge skating rink and they rent skates.Hot chocolate was served ,as was Champagne on the ride. Ride is @. 30 minutes .

When you call, they will walk you through the sleigh options as well as tell you about the environment (fire pits and roasting marshmallows at night, the warming gazebo, ice skating, hot cocoa). I agree that the night ride is the way to go. It's magical! The rides are about 25 minutes long and you can get a private sleigh, one for a group, or ride with others.

We have not stayed at the Inn. Just taken the chocolate sleigh ride and walked around the grounds. We stay at The Wentworth in Jackson which is an elegant country Inn worth it's weight in gold!

I can only tell you that when I was there over the summer the place was a dump. It didn't look like a Currier and Ives portrait anymore unless they did a ton of work on the place since last August. But according to their webpage they will be open. Buyer beware is all I can say.
