Took this hike in the Fall, cooler weather, less bugs. Easy trails to follow, several "out and back" trials. Benches along the way to rest, or sit and take in the scenery.
Historic buildings with good historical information but some need plexiglass replaced so reading posted signs is easier. Easy to get to off the GSP, lots of parking, clean, I mean CLEAN rest rooms at trail head. Trail maps are located by the bathrooms, be sure to pick one up! Great hike in the summer when the weather isn't it's best for the beach, or great hike in the morning before hitting the beach.

Beautiful area to hike, with many different trails to take: some shaded and some in the open sun. I especially love the trails that pass the stunning blue water. This is also a popular place for kayaking and for bringing dogs to play in the lake. Highly recommend as a day trip!

Beautiful from towering pines to vintage buildings. Access to Cedar Creek from main trail or others nearby. Info and restrooms at state park office.

Nice easy trails along former cranberry bogs. Nice place to run or walk on wide flat trails. Quiet and peaceful. Nice spot to go easy kayaking along the stream also or just sit relax and have a picnic.

There are about 8 buildings there in various stages of disrepair. None of them were open for viewing and there was 1 plaque, for the entire area, to explain the village. A huge disappointment.

I would recommend this place highly we had a very nice time here. We got to see deer 🦌 and other animals very nice sunset go for dogs so come hear.

It’s not all that scenic a park, but it has plenty of wide trails and beautiful landscapes. Overall it’s a nice park, but plenty of garbage around from people not picking up after themselves after illegal camping/boozing I’d imagine.

Lovely place....wish people would respect it more by not littering and throwing cigarette butts around. People are clueless and disrespectful of nature and others.

I will be staying at an nearby campground (Cedar Creek),downstream from Double Trouble State Park. Canoes & kayaks put in here & paddle back to the campground. My question is can you tube this same Cedar Creek?
