The boat and crew are a pleasure to spend time fishing with. My daughter and I went out on Miss Belmar Princess on a busy Saturday. When she needed a break she went to the upper deck where she read a book and took in some sun. We both enjoyed the day out on the water and caught enough fish for a good meal.

Miss Belmar Princess was fantastic. We were able to see 4 whales and plenty of dolphins. I had been on several trips in Cape May but never saw one whale. My first trip on Miss Belmar and wow! I recommend Miss Belmar Princess if you are really looking to see whales!
The crew was friendly and knowledgeable. Our Naturalist (sorry I forgot your name) kept us informed and up to date with all things whale.

Great captain and mates. Fishing were biting and we caught some keepers. Weather was perfect for fishing.

The crew was great from start to finish. They helped us get rigged up, showed my son some tricks for getting the fish on the hook, and then were there to make sure he could get the fish on the boat and into the cooler. We will definitely be coming back.

The boat was packed during our trip. Only 4 mates were on board and mostly congregated in the stern with the boat's regular passengers. A mate only walked in our area 3 times during 6 hours of fishing.
My group was untangling lines most of the day.
We had to walk to the stern to request bait.
We did catch fish, but overall were ignored by staff.

Me and my family had a great trip we went on the 3/4 day trip for sea bass and the captain put us right on the fish and when the bite slowed down he was right on top of it and moved us right back on top of them I’ve been on a lot of different boats and I really have to say that this boat had the best mates I’ve ever seen these guys were very helpful great to talk to and joke around with overall one of my favorite trips out fishing I’ll be going back out with them again this summer

Spent a great day Black Sea bass fishing, despite rough and choppy waters in the morning the captain and crew got us out and put us on the fish. Captain was a great communicator and mates were really helpful, I recommend Miss Belmar.

could not have been any better - the fish were found the crew was great and the weather was perfect. Only thing is the mates could have done a better job cleaning the fish - they were going so fast they left 1/4 of the meat on the bones

The trip was amazing. I had convinced family from Ohio, Michigan and PA to join us for a trip. The group was so skeptical about seeing whales on the Jersey Shore. We saw 4 whales and some dolphins and had a blast. Tricia the naturalist was amazing. The crew assisted my mother with getting on/off the boat due her limited mobility. Captain Allan was so personable and friendly. My family is already wanting to come back...

We had a great day on board. My wife and I caught several Sea Bass and a Ling. Eric and Anthony were on deck to help with whatever we needed. The captain was on top of the fish and moved to better spot when things slowed down. Overall, a very professional job by all!

Most people seemed happy with their trip, but I did notice a few complaints of overcrowding. If we do a weekday morning trip in late June, are we going to be packed shoulder to shoulder?

It is very possible you will experience overcrowding. By then school is out and lots of folks head to Belmar. Consider 2 options:
Arrive early and look over the other boats. The Princess is largest and fastest but there are options (Golden Eagle, Ocean Explorer)
Or
Drive a few more miles down to Brielle or Point Pleasant and consider the Jamaica II or Norma K

Check out the party boat websites. You’ll get a great idea of what bites and when. I can recommend the Miss Belmar Princess. I see blackfish being caught. Strikers and blues should be hitting any day. Then fluke. Boat websites can be very educational. You’ll see prices, too.
