Dive bar, no way around that. Surprise is, killer food and ice cold beverages. This place is a hike from us yet we still jump on the bikes and make it a point to head over and eat.

Had a Queen Mary with steak and eggs for breakfast. Bar tender was good, meal was ok and if your up to a game of pool there's a table.

I stopped by while exploring the area and hiking in nearby stokes.
Very cold beer, very friendly staff, lots of local folks to shoot the breeze with.
Excellent hamburger and the mac and cheese on the side was outstanding.
Makes me want to go back, for Stokes Forest and for the bar.

I would consider myself a regular at Lakeside, it's a good place to meet up with friends and have a beer. The bar tenders are also one of my favorite parts to this bar.
