My daughter got married at the Ballyowen on September 24, 2022. The coordinator handled the set up and she did an amazing job. The maitre d" Michael Mikulich went beyond and more. He was amazing and was literally everywhere to make sure everyone was happy. The cocktail hour was beautiful and so was dinner. The food exceptional and there were many compliments. The staff was very attentive. Everything went smoothly. Highly recommend the Ballyowen for an elegant wedding.

Amazing course with a wonderful staff. Only negatives were the gasoline golf carts (which were literally scary trying to manage hills and are hardly in line with Crystal Springs Resorts "green" initiatives) and the pace of play was terrible. Two groups in front of us were extremely slow and the Ranger basically said "there was nothing he could do..." My group consisted of my husband and I-and our round was five hours long. Hardly acceptable for a course of this caliber. (As an aside, the Ranger mentioned that the same two groups caused delays the day before at one of Crystal Springs other courses. That in and of itself should have warranted warnings from the Ranger.)

To my fellow early rising Ball Striking Dawn to Dusk Players. The Scotts may have invented GOLF, but OHHHH how the wish they had Ballyowen to play it on. I salute Crystal Springs Resort for the impeccable condition they maintain this Jewel of a Golfer's Dream Golf Course. The Ambiance, Accomodations, Grounds Crew, Staff Members, Cart Gals/Accoutrements, Restaurants, and Pro Shop are SECOND TO NONE! I've spend numerous weekends there and this organization continuously improves all around. I am grateful for this Golf Heaven on Earth.
To you Doubters ..I'm not paid for my thoughts or words. Just a fellow golf junkie that can't get enough of the game I love so much. Play Ballyowen and you too shall be hooked. Especially after you see and hear the "Live" Bagpipe Player from atop the highest local hill blowing melodic Scottish tunes with his instrument each evening, at the crack of "Dusk". You'll begin to imagine yourself playing at the Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland.

challenging but tough. overall service levels are very good. they call it a links course, but there is not much water. Overall, i really enjoyed playing here.

Very nice atmosphere and extremely pleasant and courteous staff....nice layout on the course with yardage markers everywhere...plenty of refreshments out on the course as well

Cannot say enough great things about this course. Staff super friendly. Beautiful diverse layout in impeccable shape. Links style. Not super long but wind and fescue can wreak havoc.

Super pro shop,Outstanding cart girls, challenging holes, great attendants. Expensive ....however twilight rates are much more reasonable.

Excellent golfing experience at a public course that is relatively cheap, value for money and close enough to drive from NYC. Challenging and a great layout.

Recently golfed a practice round and a tournament match play round on this LINKS style course and yes, it is links all the way. Plays fair, long and the only suggestion is keep it in the fairway (or else)!
