Contrary to their website, this museum is closed. They are building a new art museum on campus. Not scheduled to open until summer of 2024. Again, I reiterate this museum is not open at the present time. It is however worth walking around the campus. It’s spectacular!

just take a short walk from princeton station to get the museum, you'll see one of the finest museum in country exhibiting some collections around the globe. it's free to the public. there's some events held in the museum

Always enjoy the Art Museum. When I visit my daughter in Princeton we always go to the Princeton Museum.
We have lunch then enjoy the beautiful art collection Princeton University has. We have been there many times and it never disappoints.

A wonderful museum. It's worth a visit. If you want to see Marilyn Monroe's original painting by "walking Warhol", you'll have the chance to see it there. A very discreet collection of Colombian music and a good representation of Asian art; Greek and European. Worthy visit.

Nice small art museum in the middle of Princeton University's campus. It's worth spending a few hours here. Nice collection and there's always special exhibitions that add to the appeal.

A real gem of a museum tucked into the university campus. Nice collection of pre-columbian artifacts. Small but we'll curated permanent collection and changing exhibits. Admission is free. Why not stop in?

The museum is located inside the campus and there are no signs to get there, you have to ask . We end up being late for the ( free) guided tour , the eternal feast and the art of banqueting in Chinese art was awesome,the lower level is the most interesting one with a large Mayan, Asian and old Greek collection. Definitely worth going

This is a lovely museum that is located right in the middle of the Princeton University campus. While not very big, it is well worth a visit.

This is a gem of a museum with extraordinary examples of both Greek, Roman, and Chinese art among others.
It's manageable, never crowded, free, and altogether delightful.
It will close in approximately one year for a massive multi-year building project (new facility) so go now!

I have visited this wonderful little university museum many times to see a special exhibit, but never to see pieces from the collection.
I had heard that the museum had a number of significant paintings by French Impressionists and decided to check it out. I would call the collection "small, but mighty."
Displayed on the second floor, there are works by Cezanne, Van Gogh (see photo), Monet, Sisley, Pizzaro and others. If you love the French Impressionists, you will love the beautiful examples at this museum.
It should be noted that most of the paintings are on "long term loan from the Pearlman Foundation." How long is "long?" I don't know. Check with the museum before you go to see if they are still on display.

There is street parking two blocks away, it is best if you call the museum to ask. The museum is in the middle of a car-free campus.

Since there is no parking on campus, I generally park on or near Nassau Street and walk to the museum.

Not sure but the Museum is on the Princeton University campus. The main University gates are on Nassau Street.
A closer entrance to the museum is to enter through the arch openings from Washington Road (also called Princeton-Hightstown Road) just off Prospect Avenue.
