We passed by here on a rainy Sunday when we were looking for the statue of Einstein. The battle monument is grand with explanations.

Worth a stop to see the homage to the patriots of the American Revolution. I actually sat in the park and ate lunch. Worth a fly by.

I have driven past this monument for many years, as I travel down 206. Never had a chance to stop. So, when we were down in Princeton to walk around on a lovely December day, we parked behind Trinity Church and monument was across the street.
It helps put you in mind of the sacrifices so many made during Revolution -- before all the buildings, B&B's and shops.
It is a monumental marble edifice, with more than just George Washington and his horse. There are soldiers, a drummer and other figures. Certainly Washington and his horse are central to the monument. There are plaques and carvings around the statue and the immediate area. There is one piece that really needs cleaning, and that's the description of the battle that is under a glass case.
If you are interested in knowing more about the Revolution, you are in the heart of the state where many battles took place, up and down New Jersey. The state was pivotal land, esp. because of the closeness to New York State and harbors. It has been called, The Crossroads of the American Revolution.
In the same area, near the entrance of the monument parking lot, is a bronze bust of Albert Einstein. Einstein taught at Princeton University for several years. Be sure not to miss this statue!

The monument is in a small park not far from the university. There is free 30 minute parking right beside the monument. It is a memorial to the NJ patriots who served during the American Revolution and is quite large and impressive. Benches are around so that you can relax and study the huge memorial.
The park also has the Princeton Bell and a bust of Albert Einstein. It also has some paved paths for a short stroll. Not a destination in itself but nice if including other things.

We went to see monument and we brought out dog to play there also, not sure if he was allowed. it is well kept and a nice place to hang out or take a stroll.

ナッソースロリートをずっと降りていくとこのモニュメントがありますが、
ダウンタウンに駐車して徒歩でも行きやすいです。
モニュメントの前の桜木が植えてあり、桜満開の春はもっと綺麗でした。

I pass by this lovely green grass daily and once I saw an enactment of a battle with men dressed up in their soldier garb with guns as an educational experience for children and adults. There are swings for little tots in the park too.
