The campground at Jenny Jump was clean and peaceful, The sites are spaced out nicely. We stayed at site 26 which was rather large and very private. Due to large rock outcroppings you couldn't see the site next door. We walked the whole campground and I thought this was the nicest site there. The trails were a little overgrown and quite buggy while we were there so we didn't hike. We bought our bikes so we rode the nearby Paulinskill Valley Rail Trail which was very nice. We also went to the free astronomy program they offer on saturday nights provided by the United Astronomy Clubs of NJ. It was informative and super cool! Also a nearby place to check out is the Lakota Wolf Preserve. The only negative I can say is you can hear the noise from Rt 80 pretty loudly, howeverl that would not prevent me from camping there again.

Jenny Jump is a fun park to visit. It’s filled with some great views. I love the rolling hills around here. NJ has some beautiful parks and this is one of them.

We stayed at site 29. It was convenient to the bathrooms without being right across. The toilets are compost so you don't want to be too close. The bathrooms were rustic but clean. Extremely friendly staff; they obviously cared and wanted people to enjoy the park. One of the employees found some ancient arrowheads at a campsite and showed them to us. We hiked Summit, Swamp, and Ghost Lake trails. Note: the park map says that Ghost Lake is "easy" but we found it more challenging than Summit. Trails have rocky sections and a lot of altitude variation, and poles are helpful. The distances noted on the trails are deceiving because they are point-to-point, not loops, so you've got some hiking to to do that is not accounted for on the maps. The campsite firepits are quite deep, which is helpful if the wind is up; however, the flames aren't necessarily very close to the grates, which makes cooking/grilling a bit more time-consuming. Each camping site is very clean and they go over it with a fine-toothed comb to keep waste down. No trash cans on-site; you'll have to keep your trash in your vehicle before you leave. It's carry in, carry out (you don't want the bears to get at your food and garbage). There is a Route 80 hum during the day in some spots, but it's silent and pitch-black at night. It's amazing to find such wilderness within a literal stone's throw of 80. Lovely views of the Gap. New Jersey is truly the Garden State. PS Don't tell anyone. You can park and day hike for free but camping costs a fee.

Covid comment: we saw discarded blue masks on the Ghost Lake trail. Come on, people. If you're going to follow the rules, follow the rules. Don't litter. Whatever your views on masks, don't leave it on the trail. Gross.

Stumbled in this state park by accident. Hiked a couple of the trails. Very natural paths, some steep climbs but the views were spectacular. It’s also a campground with bathroom facilities.

Since we live very close to the forrest, it was an easy trip. The hike in the woods and the views are impressive

Tent camped here on site #29 at the end of June. during the week. Almost no one else was here so it was nice and quiet. Lots of bugs especially mosquitoes but that's summer camping. Park office was super friendly. Bathrooms were kept clean everyday. Great hikes within the park and some great sights nearby. Firewood at the park is $7 per bundle but bring a hatchet to make kindling or a fire starter log. We hiked, swam in Mountain Lake, and rafted on the Delaware. What a great way to start the summer!

The hike was moderate to difficult, depending on the terrain; there is flat terrain, rocky terrain, and grassy terrain. There are campsites on-site. The views are great, whether it be at the top or near the water.

Have stayed here a few times always in winter as it's one of only two sate parks that has wood stoves and is open year round (stokes state forest being the other) My son and I stayed 2 nights during an incredibly stretch of cold weather - wood stove worked as it should and we were good to go.

Made the hike to ghost lake and it is a tad long it was cold enough to walk on the lake which was nice.

Haven't been in the summer but based upon what I've seen it would a good place to camp,

We booked at Jenny Jump as Delaware Water Gap camping sites in NJ were booked and sites in PA were twice the price for NJ residents. We paid $20 per night here for a tent site. Driving to hiking off-site and Delaware river beaches was very easy. Also very close to Land of Make Believe.

We stayed in site 23 which was private yet had good proximity to the bathrooms which were outhouse type toilets with running sinks, hot water and a shower (free). Bathroom facility and campground were very clean.

We enjoyed the astrology program offered at 8pm on Saturday nights for free even though it was cloudy and we couldn't use the telescopes.

Hiking in the park was fun and of moderate difficulty. We did a 6 mile loop from our site to the park entrance through the woods to Ghost Lake and then back to our tent. Trails were well marked and we didn't see a single person on the trails that Sunday morning.

About 20 minutes from camp is Mountain Lake which has a free public beach with lifeguard. We enjoyed swimming there very much!

The only negative is that even late at night you can still hear the faint roar of traffic on I-80 in the distance - I relish the absence of machine noise when I camp and therefore am probably more sensitive than most.
