What a great day out. There was a fabulous selection of activities available that would please anybody with an interest in actually having a go on big machines. It was well organised with a high emphasis on safety as well as fun. The food was fairly priced and catered to families with young children. All excellent, but what really made the trip for me was how friendly and helpful the staff were. All in all I would thoroughly reccomend it for a day out.

I kept seeing FB ads for Diggerland, so I decided to take advantage of the special ($39.95) and took my daughter (9) and nephew (6). We went on Saturday, 8/13. We got there around 11:15am and there was already a line out of the gate. I'm not sure how many people buy tickets at the gate itself, but it may help to have separate lines for people who already purchased vs. those who did not. Once we got in, we headed to the water park. There were PLENTY of chairs available, surprisingly. The kids did the kiddie pool first and then we all did the wave pool. That was really fun and not crowded at all. After about an hour or so at the water park, we ventured over to the construction part. I was excited to see that the lines were very short HOWEVER, the turnaround time was ridiculously long. There may be only 10 people in line, for example, but it would still take 20-30 minutes before it was your turn. They were in line for the rock climbing wall. There were two walls with 4 climbing ropes. Only one wall was being utilized. There was one attendant to buckle/unbuckle people so again, although the line was short, it still took a really long time before they were even able to climb. Another thing I noticed was that when it was time to let people into the gate, the attendant would then tell them their shoes were unacceptable. He could have easily looked at those in line while waiting for the current climbers to finish their turn and let people know THEN that they would not be able to get on due to footwear. I would have been PISSED if I waited 30 minutes to find out I couldn't get on anyway.
Although we did a few more of the construction 'rides', we skipped many because I knew it would take too long before they could actually get on. The highlight for them was actually driving one of the vehicles around the track. I was nervous at first to let my nephew drive, but he met the requirements so I let him. Although there was a lot of stop and go, he had a ball and both of them made for great photo/video!
I was going to get them some lunch but the line was soooo incredibly long, I said forget it, we'll go to a restaurant when we leave. Instead, we went to the other stand where they sold Icees/ice cream/ etc. There were only about 4 people in that line but it still took 20 minutes before it was our turn. For the life of me, I do not understand why it took that long to pour Icees, scoop Dip n Dots and pour lemonade. And the girl clearly did not want to be there because she was not friendly AT ALL.
What I didn't like about the park were the food prices. There is always an expected markup, but it still annoys the heck out of me that they get away with these outrageous prices. Bottles of water/soda/gatorade are $4, lemonade is $7, Ice cream sandwiches - $5. I can only imagine what the food costs were.
All in all, it was a good outing. It was close to my parent's house, I got a good deal, the kids had a really good time and the park itself wasn't too crowded.

Diggerland had a very clean and nice water park. It was one of the cleanest that I have ever been visited. The ride portion of this venue was very underwhelming. They were all slow and after one or two the novelty wore off. Visit for the water park but I wouldn’t go if the intent was the equipment oriented attractions. Many of these attractions were “stretches” to be called attractions.

Went to Digger Land with my young grandkids and had a blast. Kids loved the wave pool and 2 water slides. Also liked the rapid river (not too rapid), big pool and splash areas. The construction area was a little too old for my 7 and 5 yr old grandkids but we did spend some time in that area before the kids wanted to go back to the water park. Thank you for supplying life jackets as it made it safe and more enjoyable for the kids. Not a lot of shade, so we rented a cabana that has chairs, lounge chairs, a refrigerator with 4 bottles of water and a fan. Worth it for the 6 hours we were there. Food was priced well and portions were very good. Staff was friendly and changing area and rest rooms were very clean. Seemed like all the customers at the park that day were friendly also, making for a very enjoyable experience. My wife and I will be back even without the grandkids.

The park is the perfect size to be able to get the full experience in one day. The water park is a huge bonus and makes it well worth the price. When having a concern, I was pleasantly shocked on the customer service that I received from Kerri and the professional, respectful, appropriate way that she addressed the situation was much appreciated. Before I spoke to her(upon request for a manager), I had a difficult time simply finding an adult employee to assist.

My wife and I did the grown up Diggerland XL experience. I operated 4 pieces of heavy construction equipment and demolished a car as well. My wife got to use a giant bulldozer and a huge excavator. Our instructors/guides were Jim and Sophia, and they were fantastic. You wear headphones and get help from the instructors the whole time, so if you can't figure something out, they talk you through it. Never had so much fun in my life.

My husband and I came here with our friends and their two children (5 & 7). It was the perfect thing to do for kids their age. The water park opened earlier than the regular park, so we stopped there first. It's geared towards smaller children, so teenagers would be bored. But it gave the little ones something to enjoy. The park had plenty to offer for kids that age. The 5 year old needed a parent to go on stuff with her more often than not, but enjoyed it. We thought the value for the day was well worth it, and the kids couldn't even do the whole park. I would recommend to anyone that has 5-9 year olds. We didn't find understaffing to be an issue. And all the rides seemed to be running except for a few. But it didn't deter the kids at all.

My adult children and young grandchildren (ages 13 - 3) all went today and were very disappointed. The lines were extremely long (which was expected) but a majority of the rides were not working (not expected). So on one of the tractor rides with 8 tractors only 2 were working. The staff was unhelpful and nasty. It was a very disappointing trip.

We are sorry we did not meet your expectations. All of our rides were operational on the date of your visit, however a ride operator can only operate so many vehicles safely at the same time. We regret to hear your review about our staff as we usually receive great compliments about the staff. We thank you for your feedback and will review with our management team.

Visited diggerland during spring break April 2022 with kids 6 and 4. We had been meaning to come for some time but were slightly delayed with the pandemic, etc. we were very excited, especially my 4 year old son.
Our day was pretty good. The kids had a great time. The 2 adults were very frustrated by the length of the lines, the frequency of people cutting into lines, the nickel and diming everywhere, and the crazy low ride capacities.
I don’t mind waiting in lines, but the lines at diggerland are the longest and slowest I’ve ever waited on at any amusement park. (They’ve unseated summer season sesame place!) we waited nearly an hour for the backhoe ride experience. One backhoe was operating with a capacity of three people at a time for the entire park of construction crazy kids. We waited over an hour to ride one of the 4 functioning excavators for a packed park. Staff reported the rest (over half!) “broken.” We waited nearly 30 minutes to ride the scissor lift. There is one at the park, with a ride capacity of 5 people per ride. I wanted my skid steer loving kids to get to ride them, but we couldn’t stomach another nearly hour long wait. It took 6-8 minutes for the solo ride attendant just to buckle in kids for every round on the merry go round. Then the ride, then several minutes of unbuckling. It was truly maddening. I joked about sesame place but at diggerland I realized how important shows and other attractions are at theme parks - without them crowds have nowhere to go other than to build long, long lines and wait for rides for ages.
Sure, places are understaffed. Maybe that’s the case. All staff we encountered were friendly and doing their best. The park seems poorly managed more than poorly staffed. They are either overselling tickets, not investing in additional attractions they need for the capacity they are admitting, not maintaining the rides well (as in the many reportedly broken down excavators) or seriously struggling to attract staff.
There is almost no shade in the park which was fine in April but would be brutal in the summer. No outside food, even individually packaged kid type snacks, are admitted. One bottle of water per person only. I had read about the food and packed our lunch and was glad we did. We got a very close parking spot and did lunch in the car for a chance to sit and a break from the sun. Parking is ‘free’ but tickets are nearly $50 a pop, so I am confident we paid for that parking in the ticket price.
Again, the kids had a great day because they didn’t realize how much they actually missed out on. I LOVE the theme and the park has so much potential. I’d like to give it another shot maybe at a lower crowd time than spring break to try the attractions we couldn’t get to due to waits, but with admission at $200 for a family of 4, I’m honestly not sure if we will be back. There’s no way I’d visit during the summer to basically make runs back and forth to the car to replenish water as we sweated in the heat. I don’t feel that we had a $200 experience today.

We are glad to hear your kids had a great time. We are sorry you visited on our busiest day of Spring Break. Those lines are abnormal for our park. We are sorry by the line cutting, that is abnormal in our park as well, but was present on the day of your visit. Our rides are real construction equipment so throughput can be slower, but we do have higher capacity rides where lines move much faster. We are glad to hear you appreciated our staff. We have been growing and expanding since we opened in 2014 and our park is twice as big as when it opened. We have sunshade structures that are being installed in the park for shade for the warmer days. We really appreciate your feedback and will review how we can improve.

It goes more by height than age at 42” the child can ride/control mostly everything on their own or with a parent. My son is 4 some of the equipment (stationary trucks) he could do on his own however definitely needed our assistance to drive the trucks without crashing. 3 crashes and they take you off we did not even risk it bcse he wasn’t ready to drive a skid steer on his own! At 36” a child can ride nearly everything with parent as well. The website lists all the rides and the height restrictions. I’m not sure if there is much of anything for your 1 year old though.

I would think it would be less busy on Sunday, plus they stay open until 7 both days (unless they have different holiday hours). We went at 2 on a Sunday and it really emptied out by 5 so we didn't have any lines later in the day.

I've seen some rough reviews of how busy it is and poor employee attitudes.
We're wanting to take our 4 year old, we'll be coming all the way from Ohio so I want to make the trip worth it.
When is the least busy time to visit? Any specials we could take advantage of?
Any details would be appreciated!!

Minimum height is 36” - anything smaller than this and they can’t go on any of the rides (except the playground). There are some rides that require a height of 42”. When we went, my daughter was only 38” so she couldn’t go on everything but there were still plenty of rides for her!
