We visited Wildwood for an event at the US Coast Guard in Cape May, New Jersey. We used bikes to ride up and down the boardwalk and through the various streets of the town which made it a lot easier to find places that were actually open or pockets with some level of commerce. I’m sure this place is bustling during the traditional summer season, but it was a summer like day, and it was like a ghost town and creepy and frankly, with most of the shops on the boardwalk selling the cult, political garb we kind of felt like we were at a clan rally in Mississippi but without all the people. Not that we would know Wildwood New Jersey is a pretty creepy place.

It's huge! If you have small children bring a wagon or stroller. So many places to eat. If you start at the far end, the attractions start about mid-way through. Water park, amusement park, mini golf, aquarium and tons of food. Make sure to ride the tram car because the little kids love it.

Buy the Tram Ticket for $13 for the day. WELL WORTH IT there is over 3 miles of boardwalk currently and you can hop on and off all day until 5 pm.
It looks like a carnival, but don't let it fool you, the Boardwalk is full of really good restaurants and bars as well.
Fireworks on Fridays. Lots of free concerts around town. Parking is a commodity and expensive. I suggest John at Island Taxi. 6 0 9 9 7 2 1 1

His prices are better than uber and he give excellent, personal service, we used him for everything transport around town plus up to Atlantic City.
Make sure to stop at Douglass Fudge. Over 100 years in business.
Take the DooWop Tour and go to the museum. Lots of info on the orginal WIldwood. 85 minute private tour with guide. And it goes to the museum.
Did you know. . . Dick Clark's American Band Stand first broadcast off Wildwood? And so much more. All the history can be found in the museum.
Tons of rides including the HUGE ferris wheel. Adult & kids love Wildwood. Historical area + some of the best beach in NJ.

Through the last 20+ years that I have been coming here, I don't think the boardwalk has changed very much. There are many stores, food places, and roller-coaster here, which makes for a great night to multiple nights. You can get to the boardwalk from Wildwood Crest or North Wildwood by walking on a pathway that leads right to the boardwalk. There are also tram cars that go from one end of the boardwalk to the other. It costs 5 dollars but is worth it. The boardwalk is good for people of all ages and if you have a day or two in Wildwood, I would recommend you check it out!

The nearly 3 mile long boardwalk is a beauty to behold. The continued boardwalk replenishment is well worth the effort. The piers are a wonderland of rides and the variety of shops and restaurants can appease all tastes.

A must visit spot when going to wildwood or cape May . Board walk is fun. And it’s a very long boardwalk. So many shops and eateries around . There are also adventure zones and water parks in this boardwalk . The only issue is - it’s insanely expensive . Very very costly to go to rides and most of the food stalls. There were some stores which had some nominal stuff . Kids had fun though . Nice time and good memories .. parking is a nightmare and expensive too. Better to park off in your hotel (if you have one) or park it in side streets with ParkMobile app.

This was my first visit in ten years, and things have definitely spiraled downward. Overpriced, full of hucksters trying to lure you into their ridiculous games, and lots of rides that appear to be closed. The food looks awful. Who wants to eat a slice of pizza that has been sitting out in the sun all day...not me!!! Gift shops are also filled with overpriced junk, and lots of totally inappropriate tee shirt designs. C'mon...there's kids here. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this mess.

Entire family of 13, ages infant to 76, had a blast on the Wildwood Boardwalk. Noticed lots more trash bins, so much cleaner than i remember. There were no incidents, newly installed cameras and police were visible. Felt safe at all times. Kids loved the rides, food was fantastic, young ladies loved the new Anime shops where they were happy to spend their hard earned money.

Wildwood is very diverse, the north end of the boardwalk is quieter with less walking distance from the boardwalk to the ocean, whereas the center of the town is for those families that want to spend their days on the beach and their nights entertaining young children on amusement rides and games. Wildwood Crest offers some resort beaches for those that don't walk a few blocks, plus the longer distance from the boardwalk to the sand. This is one of the most diverse towns along the Southern Jersey Shore.

I am not sure, now that Covid restrictions are being lifted, I would assume anytime, or possibly, they would start in the early may timeframe when it gets warmer. Its best to call them directly or check the website.

Yes Morey’s pier (amusements) are open there is an Easter egg hunt and many stores on and off boards are open. Fudge store, arcade and restaurants too!

Wildwood has the best dog park on the beach in all of New Jersey. Many activities for both small and large dogs. But dogs may not be on the people part of the beach. You will need to check with the hotels to determine what their policy is regarding pets. Each one varies. Sometimes the boardwalk is crowded and you will want to avoid those times for your doggie. Sunny afternoons and warm summer evenings bring out the biggest crowds to the Boardwalk..
