Great museum. They have changed hours from 10 AM to 2PM. There are a variety of local things as well as what appear to be peoples personal collections.

This is only open Monday through Friday and only 1.00pm until 5.00pm.
If you are able to get here during the times mentioned, you are in for a treat.
Large building with such varied exhibits that you will most likely be there for the time that it is open.
There are many fascinating exhibits and the folks who are there provide a very in depth account of what happened in this area.
Get off the interstate and visit, it is well worth your time

I am doing research on interment camps during WWII and this museum has an outstanding exhibit. The staff is helpful and can answer all your questions.

There's enough outside this attraction to amaze, but I went in because my interest had been piqued while I milled about snapping pictures.
The inside is huge, like a giant barn with side rooms, but all manner of items and displays are well organized and presented. It appears, most of the town's history is stashed here.
The friendly volunteer introduced the general layout, then left me to wander around, but she was eager to answer any questions.
There's a donation box at the front desk, but no hassle, or even mention, about contributing (but I did, on my way out). Upon entering, the volunteer greeted me with a smile and prompted me to sign in, then gave the brief introduction and explanation of what was where.
If I return this way, I'm likely to visit again. Gazing around those rooms, I found this was a relaxing few hours.

This was a fascinating museum. I learned about POW camps here in New Mexico during WWll. This museum even had an Avon perfume bottle collection...and that brought back memories of my Grandmother and the Avon perfume she wore. This museum is definitely worth the time.

This museum is a hidden gem for anybody interested in American history. Lordsburg functioned as an internment and POW camp during the Second World War. The exhibits are detailed, but appropriate for visitors of all ages.

We all really enjoyed the visit to the museum. There is some great history to see and learn about. I could visit this place more than once.

There are several specialized rooms showing local photographs, WWII Japanese internment and Italian/German POW camps, military,mining and cowboy sections. Charles Lindbergh landed in Lordsburg in 1927.

One of those small town museums showing the ranching, railroad, copper industry, and aviation history of the area. The POW camp history exhibit is one of the best in the country. We forget there were WWII POW camps throughout the west for German and Italian soldiers captured in North Africa. Worth a visit if you are staying, having lunch, stretching your legs, or gasing up in Lordsberg. Lordsberg is on I-10, between Tucson and El Paso. Spacious building. There is no fee, but donations are accepted. Open from 1-5, Monday through Friday, but should call first.
