I almost passed on this because of many negative reviews but we ended up taking my almost 2 and almost 4 year old grandsons at noon on Labor Day Saturday. To my surprise, there was no charge for parking nor for our 18 month old. Don't get me wrong; this is NOT Sesame Place nor is it anything like Disney or Six Flags. But it is a delightful gem close to home and the young kids don't have our adult expectations. They had the time of their lives and we even took the young one on several rides with him on our laps. Yes. We the grandparents had to pay to get in, but if you know anything about how businesses like this have been hit with high insurance, taxes, and labor costs, then you understand that the admission here is quite reasonable and likely a bargain. Five or six bucks for an ice cream, bar, a pretzel, or a soda isn't unusual these days. The lines weren't that long and the kids did several rides multiple times. Keep your expectation in check, ignore the reviews from folks living in their nostalgic past, and just let your young kids and grandkids have a great day!

The pricing is to keep hoodlums out and away from just hanging out causing trouble like past years so a few dollars extra for safely

Like most Long Islanders, I’ve been going to Adventureland since I was a kid. As a parent, I enjoyed taking my 3 kids here and watching them go on rides. But now that they are charging adults over $30 to get in, it’s no longer cost effective for my family. My husband and I do not go on rides, so we would be basically throwing money away. It now costs over $200 for my family of 5 just to get in to the park! I would rather use that $200 towards Six Flags or Hershey park. So disappointed in Adventureland for taking away an affordable family activity on LI.

This place is a complete rip off they make you pay even if you're not going to ride any of the rides so you cannot watch your grandchildren enjoying themselves without having to Shell out $30. The food is atrocious the park is filthy and quite frankly they should call the board of health on their restaurant area. Believe me don't waste your money you should also know that the rides are not checked on a regular basis and two of them have literally fallen apart while they were operating. This place needs to be shut down and checked for safety measures.

I am sorry to say that I am disappointed with Adventureland’s management in regard to a recent change in their season pass policy as well as the unprofessional manor in which they are handling this situation.
In the past, season pass holders were allowed to use their passes during private events, such as the annual school event that my kids have attended for the past seven years. In my case, as well as many other parents, this was one of the main selling points for the season pass. This year, that policy has changed to exclude private events. I don’t have an issue with the change itself; however, this major policy change was not communicated to pass holders at the time of purchase. This would have made some of us (including me) reconsider buying season passes.
When I called Customer Service to explain my disappointment in the policy change, I offered the employee an easy way to solve this issue by allowing me to exchange my season pass for tickets to this one event. To my surprise, he told me that Adventureland has been honoring season passes still, and that the decision to pay was up to the individual organizations. Imagine my surprise.
I immediately contacted our PTA upset that their flyers highlighted the policy change with the disclaimer “Adventureland will no longer be accepting season passes for private events.” The PTA responded with a screen capture from an email communication from Adventureland stating that the policy change was in effect and that the website indicated this rule. It also claimed that there were signs in the park to inform guests about this update. The PTA had also asked for an exception to be made since many of the parents who were long-time pass holders were unaware of the updated policy. Adventureland rudely responded that no exception would be made. Now, this is where it gets laughable. Yes, the change was made to the website, no, we were not informed while purchasing our passes, and when I went to the park to look for a sign, I learned that the signs were just ordered and would be in place conveniently in time for our event on Thursday. How shady is that?
I personally don’t see enough value in the season pass because my family travels to many amusement/theme parks during the summer. We even hold annual passes to a few of the bigger companies. But we also love to support all the smaller, local attractions that we can. In fact, we just returned from a fantastic trip to Knoebels where admission is still free, and you have the option to pay per ride or buy a all-inclusive wristband. I’m more than happy to spend money on either an Adventureland season pass OR this one hard-ticket private event, but not both.
Look, I didn’t bat an eye when COVID “forced” Adventureland to change their admission policy so that everyone had to pay - although I am disappointed with the fact that the change stuck around. This next generation of management is making decisions based solely on profit and not thinking about Adventureland’s long standing reputation for exceptional customer service. The right thing to do, would be to own up to the miscommunication and offer a ONE TIME exception to the season pass policy. I’d then, inform ticket sellers to spiel the rules and regulations for passes at the point of sale, and highlight any changes for the remainder of the season.

My children grew up here. Would get the sea-son passes and take them several times from spring through fall. It used to be a great local place for family fun. I felt safe and my kids and their friends could ride and have a great day of fun. Grandparents didn’t mind taking them on their own either because they could sit while the kids went from ride to ride on their own. Now they’re just stealing money from parents. The new pricing structure is an insult to all the LI families who have patronized this business over the years. It is not an adult park. Adults should not have to pay almost full price to enter when we already drop tons of cash on food snacks and games. Even with season passes I rarely left the park without spending another 50-100$ on extras for myself and the kids. Now I have to pay $30 just to walk in?! PPP, EIDL and NYS SVOG grant money was supposed to be used to help businesses recover from the pandemic year along with tax relief and loan forgiveness programs. What happened at Adventureland LI that they had to shift their losses onto their loyal customers? The new everyone pays even if they don’t ride system is outrageous - price gouging at its worst! Won’t go back anymore. Even though the kids miss it. The memories of when this used to be a family friendly park are enough.

a great park close to home! Its not cheap, but pay one price and play all day!
Something for everyone! Great for little kids, teens and Adults.
Much larger than it used to be. So much easier than traveling to Great adventure or Disney. only bad part... Its a shame if you are just a chaperone for kids, still have to pay to enter!

The new “everyone pays” to enter riding or not has killed the fun we used to have over our 15 years coming here. Making all adults pay to enter is unfortunate. This is a nice park but being forced to pay $34 as an adult to supervise my kids is gouging.
They should offer a non rider bracelet at no cost.

Why do senior citizens have to pay full price to take their grandchildren to Adventureland. We never paid for me and my husband before the pandemic. We don't go on the rides and if we do want to go on a ride we used to pay for only that ride.Could you please let me know why you are now charging senior citizens full price.
This is frist time we want to visit adventureland.we have no idea about entrance or ride price.

Ditto, the wristband pays for itself if you think there's going to be half a dozen rides you'll go on, even if it's the same ride a few times in a row or something. Then there are cash games, an arcade and food court.
How much is admission for two adults two kids under 5 and a 1 yr old?

Depends on whether or not you buy the pay one price bracelet or individual tickets. Entry to the park is free, rides cost tickets or a bracelet is needed, games are cash games. I think a bracelet is about $35 or so.
