Authentic vegetarian Indian food. A lot of choices! Hard to find seating during peak times.

Popularly known as Ganesha temple because the central deity in the temple is Ganesha, located in flushing Queens, New York City. We were doing temple-hopping during Durga puja and visited this.
Temple has a serene vibe and one can sense peace here. all kinds of Hindu pujas getting performed by priests here. Frontdesk folks can provide more information on that.
it was durga puja so we saw 'Golu Puja'. they also offer tuition in diff subjects.
The Temple is easily accessible both by private and public transportation. The temple is colloquially referred to as the Flushing temple by Hindus. The design of the temple's exterior was inspired by the face of traditional Hindu temples found in South India.
Note: Dress modestly and leave your shoes outside

Parking: it has small parking but you easily get roadside parking as well
No Photography is allowed inside the temple. They also have a canteen and it has a fan base. In fact doordash-Grubhub take their deliveries from here.

not many temple canteens offer this much delicious food. in fact, it's popular among Grubhub-doordash drivers. The canteen is on the right side of the entrance. it's in the basement but well cleaned and maintained. Order at the counter and wait for your order to arrive and dispose of your trash when you are done.
We ordered Hyderabadi masala dosa, Mysore masala, and Puducherry, with vada, idlis, and chai. The food was good. they have a gift shop as well in the basement.
if you are visiting the temple, it's a must-try then.

We live in NJ and always want to visit flushing temple … once we think of the traffic , and mainly PARKING , we are put off … parking here is horrendous . I know it’s in the city but wish there was adequate parking here . Temples parking lot is toooo narrow and cars almost brush each other .
Apart from this the temple itself is awesome . Love the vinayagar here . Canteen food is cheap and very very good . One of the best food in any of the temples around NY NJ area. Auditorium is also awesome . Well maintained. Good to see temperature checks and masks 😷 mandate in the temple … overall love this temple , if not the havoc to get to the temple ..

Ganesha temple in Flushing New York has more to offer than it looks from outside. Very Peaceful and calm houses a traditional Ganesha murti along with many other idols of Goddess and God. It was a beautiful visit for us on a very cold day. Very close to traditions and Hindu faith. I have to mention the Temple Canteen, which serves absolutely delicious vegetarian food in a Udupi style. You can have absolutely lip-smacking dosa and idiyappam. If in that area, it is a must recommended visit, if you want to know about the Hindu faith.

Every Sunday evening the temple have sabha during 4 to 7 pm and followed by dinner. Great place to be.

It is indeed very interesting and fascinating to see the mighty Vallabha Ganapathy ( Lord Ganesha) seated majestically in the thick of the Chinese neighborhood ! This is one of the oldest Hindu temples in the US ! And, do famous that there's a replica of the sannidhanam of this Ganesha in Besant Nagar, Chennai as " New York Vallabha Ganapathy" !! No other Hindu temple outside India has this unique distinction !
The Shraddha and Bhakti of millions of devotees over these decades makes this place so divine. The darshan of Lord Ganesha is absolutely blissful !
The temple has managed to accommodate , however small; several other vigrahas of other deities commonly worshipped by the Hindu community. It's worth spending time. The Navagraha is planned and located well.
Have been watching this temple grow from strength to strength since 1990s. Kudos to the committed management committee for keeping it so well.
The parking on the back side of the temple is adequate.
A must visit for anyone with spiritual quest and inclination!

We visted Temple for prayer on a Sunday, very please with all rituals, chanting singing, decorating the Lord Ganesh. After we visted the Canteen we had Idili Vadai, Sambar, Chutney, Rava Dosai are are excellent and moderatly priced. clean environment

Quick service on reasonably priced South Indian food makes this place a convenient location for a quick bite however the food quality is pretty average. No table service available so you’ve to wait for your number being called to get your food, some items like dosas take longer so your number would most likely be called multiple times in order to get all your ordered food items. Only couple of sweet dishes are on the menu and both were unavailable during peak lunch time. Overall a nice spot for a quick reasonably authentic South Indian snack and perhaps a decent stopover for the temple visitors.

We had been to this place, the lunch which was provided in the canteen was too good. The service was also good. Full fledged south indian menu with Lassi. The hospitality was also great. Enjoyed it very much. Worth visiting.

O templo é aberto para pessoas de qualquer religião. O prédio construído nos anos 70 foi todo feito com peças vindas do Sul da Índia. O projeto arquitetônico é impressionante, assim como as estátuas lá de dentro. Todo o ambiente emana paz e tranquilidade.
Ao visitar o templo, não deixe de ir na "cantina", que fica no subsolo. Excelente comida típica do sul da Índia, com preço acessível.
Só uma dica: não se esqueça de tirar os sapatos antes de entrar no templo, respeitando a tradição hindu.
