I have always enjoyed being at the Library whether I was attending story time with my children when they were young or attending an Art Show, Book Sale, History of GC Event or 50's Music Event, it has always been time well spent!

Great library with helpful staff. Three levels with large selection of current books, books on tape and movies. Lots of year round programs for children and adults. Frequent art exhibits in lower level.

A good old fashioned library with great librarians who know their stuff. Not a lot of bells and whistles but lots of great programs for kids and older adults.

I was lucky enough to be able to bring my granddaughter to the library for story time. She loved going and I loved spending time there looking for books and movies. The best part is I could return them to my hometown library Floral Park. This made it so easy.

We attended a musical event at the Garden City Library. The event was held outside on the grounds. It is a beautiful library.

I am at this library every week, and the staff is wonderful. For our area, the children’s area could use much more help and more programs for the children. I go online on appointed day n get shut out every time for my toddler grandson. Need more librarians in the children section for sure.

This library was just across the street from the Garden City Hotel. The grounds were spacious and well maintained. During my stay there was a small festival taking place on the grounds for children.

This library has long been a favorite of ours. I still have fond memories of my father bringing me here when I was a young boy at Hemlock Elementary School. I now can share the same love for books to my children who are avid readers.

The Garden City Library has entered the digital age, with e-books available to view on your kindle or nook. DVD's for loan. Computers to use in the library. And they still have books! A wide selection of current titles and best sellers!

Why? It's because it's in Garden City and Garden City residents expect to recieve the level of service this neighborhood library provides. Often the local libraries in the neighboring communities may not have a particular book or yearly tax return forms but no...Garden City Public Library comes to the rescue and gets their stuff. Love this library and so will you. Plenty of assorted spaces to get your intellectual juices flowing. Also adequate parking in their parking lot that is shared by the LIRR(Long Island Railroad). Bathrooms are a bit dated but yet they are clean which is the most important factor. Across the street from the Garden City Hotel FYI!!
