We had a very bubbly young lady as our poise. Wish we got her name !!! Good wines specially the Chardonnay 2003 ( not reserve) the dryl Reisling & Vinyole . Gorgeous grounds. Outside:deck

Had a great wine tasting with my husband during a Finger Lakes Labor Day weekend trip. Did not have reservation but they were able to take us right away. Set up is a few different bars you stand at while the employee serves you and others at the bar with you. I forgot her name but the worker gave thorough explanations of the flavors and they were accurate. We were each able to pick any 6 wines each from a list of about 20, all varieties. By comparison another vineyard we visited gave a choice of a dry or sweet grouping. Small place with a small plot of vines visible from outdoor deck in back. We bought wines after the tasting along with cheese and crackers they had for sale. Sat in front because deck was full. Close to a road but pretty shrubs all around so you don't see the road. $8 for a tasting of 6 wines. We bought one bottle for $23, the other was around $17. Those were the average prices. They also do spirit tastings which we didn't try.

We enjoyed the eclectic wine list, the great views from the deck, and the hosts were enthusiastic. We bought a few bottles, which were well priced.

Delightful wine tasting. The wines were interesting and delicious. Beautiful views and very reasonably priced bottles.

My wife and I visited on a quiet late Friday afternoon. We had checked into our hotel and were looking for something to do before dinner. Our neighbor has a daughter who lives in Ithaca and recommended we stop in for a tasting. They are dog friendly. We did not have reservations for a tasting and at this time of the day, it did not matter.
We were greeted warmly and began a tasting. They provide a lengthy list of whites, reds, blushes, and distillery drinks to choose from. You get to choose any six for $8. Our host was pleasant and pointing out the pros of each pour. My wife and I both agreed that the amount poured for the taste was not acceptable. I would estimate two tablespoons. Not an exaggeration. It was by far the smallest pour of any winery we had ever visited in our lives. Then again it was only $8. The wines were tasty, especially the Rieslings and the spumante. We each had a glass of our favorite wine and sat in their lounge area that offered a view of the vineyard. There was indoor/outdoor seating and since it was very hot, decided to stay indoors.
In the middle of our tasting, there was a manager or someone in charge, who came over to our host and called him over to the register. We could overhear the conversation and it was disciplinary in nature. Something to do about a running tab for a customer. Waiting until customers were out of range might have been better. We felt bad for our host and left him a nice tip.
As I mentioned, the tastings are inexpensive and there is plenty of parking in their private parking lot. There is a nice shop where you can buy the wines by the bottle amongst other things. The winery is located off a main road a few miles outside of downtown Ithaca.

Four of us had been to Ithaca for the afternoon and decided to call in to the vineyard for a quick drink on our way home.
We visited less than an hour before closing, yet the lady who served us was so friendly and accommodating that we decided to dive in on the wine tasting (4 samples for $8) before settling on a bottle to drink between us.
Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere and the Avery’s Spumante - DELICIOUS! We’ll be back for sure.

This is a popular place to stop for tastings. We went twice during our weeklong stay in the area. The first trip we sat out on the patio with a glass of wine and enjoyed the view since the place was extremely busy and you needed a reservation to do a tasting that Friday afternoon. We went back midweek and had the place more or less to ourselves. They have a nice assortment of wines at reasonable prices.

Our wine server was great! She was knowledgeable and enhanced the tasting experience. I found a wine I liked to take on my way to enjoy Cayuga Lake. I didn't like the fack that you had to pay extra to make a reservation for a wine tasting.
