We booked an hour trip's starting at 10am. There were 5 of us - my wife and our three adult sons. The weather was amazing - very calm. The trip was top notch. Our captain/guide, Dan, was very nice and provided an informative tour of the lake. We would definitely recommend this for anyone that wants to take a tour of the lake. He even gave us some tips on some other things to do in the area that we would have missed.

My wife and I spent 90 outstanding minutes on Lake Placid with Wes and Gavin! I hadn't water skied in nearly 30 years and their instruction was spot on, plus we both tried wakeboarding. They were so easy to take to, no judgment, great music and other recommendations for our trip.

Something for everyone, with extreme heat just shopping and chilled out at hotel. Definitely be back! The Olympic museum is a must see!

Amazing experience with excellent service! From picking up our phone inquiry and accommodating us even its raining to touring us around Lake Placid. Wes was very informative and made sure we are comfortable even provided our kids with blanket. Definitely made our Lake Placid visit worth it 👌🏻 Btw he also have an airbnb which you can book instead of staying in a hotel.

Highlight of our USA road trip! Booked a 90 minute tubing trip and that meant a full 90 minutes on the water with a brand new boat and a crew of two.
We all got plenty of time tubing (two at a time) and completely up to you whether it's a gentle tow or a full-on adrenaline rush! Also time for a swim for as long as we liked ( we kept it short to make the most of the tubing!).
Can't recommend highly enough!

My husband and I first visited Lake Placid in 2015. Lucky for us we found Wes and ADK Aquatics. What a blast!! We’ve now skied 6 of the past 8 summers with Wes and Jeremy, and they are the reason we keep returning to LP. Wes has helped us improve our skiing, and also taught us and our two adult children to wake surf. This year he taught my daughter’s boyfriend to both ski and surf over a weekend. Double tubing is fun too! Both boats are top of the line, as is the full array of equipment. Wes is an excellent instructor and he and his crew are all great guys who you’d want to spend time with on (or off) a boat. Understandably, they’re in high demand, so book well in advance!

Amazing! Highly recommend! My family and I had a fabulous time with Wes. We weren’t really sure what we wanted to do and Wes suggested a boat tour with some swimming. We had an amazing time! Wes is very knowledgeable on the history of Lake Placid and provided us with some pretty neat info on the area. He took us to a great spot where the kids and I were able to do some swimming. Wes even made the experience even better by kindly helping my timid kids to go for it and jump right in! Overall awesome experience we will never forget and can’t wait to come back next summer!

Jeremy and JP took our family of 4 (kids ages 7 and 11) water skiing and tubing. We had a blast! They helped us with our form so we could get up on the skis. Then we did about an hour of tubing - pure fun! Nonstop Screaming and laughing. Would recommend to anyone and would do it again for sure !

Wes from the get go was helpful, informative and you felt comfortable immediately. Upon arriving he was on time, pleasant, and great with the kids and grandparents too! He taught the kids how to waterski and has immense patience and made it super fun. The tubing was amazing and he knows how to enhance the experience. Great guy, super fun and the boat was so clean and nice! His staff seemed cool too. Good jusic too. Will for sure to it again next year and maybe this trip if his schedule allows because he is fully booked! Next time would book 4 hours vs the 90 mins.

An experience well worth treating our teen travelers to! Jeremy and JP were terrific guides — knew the boat, the lake, and people. They tuned right into what the girls were up for and served up exactly what they were looking for and could handle. Great company and incredible fun on a gorgeous day on the lake.

Hi there for someone without experience in his fiftieth, In moderate physical shape what will be the preferred activity you recommend? wake boarding water skiing Tubing or boat touring or better stay on shore? can you elaborate about the difference especially regarding difficulty level?

Hi there,
Unfortunatly we do not offer river tubing. Since we offer tubing behind our boat we are lumped into the general”tubing/whitewater rafting” category. I apologize for any confusion.

Do you offer remedial wakeboard lessons for 40 year olds who last attempted to learn approximately fifteen years ago but gave up after being slapped in the face by the sport repeatedly (I face planted many, many, many times)?

Yes we absolutely do! We have a lot of tips and tricks which will help you with getting up and staying up while minimizing the risk of being repeatedly slammed. Please give us a call for more info.

Hi Christine, thanks for reaching out. Typically we close sometime in late September depending on weather, air & water temperatures. You can try as October approaches and see some years it stays warm enough. For you both I would suggest any of the sports we offer. If you want to spend the time learning something new then waterskiing, wakeboarding or wakesurfing. If you just want to get on the water and go... tubing is a lot of fun and doesn’t take any time to learn. We hope to see you at some point.

Our rates depend upon the season and number of people. We take guests on tubing trips by the hour where we drive our boat for you and provide a spotter for safety. We do not rent boats for you to drive or tubes separately. All sessions are private and reserved in advance by phone.
