This is a great little movie house and is actually MY single favorite place. Price is right and it is clean and comfortable. The have several movies playing in different parts of the place . I enjoy going
There with several people or alone. A wonderful Olympic village ! A truly beautiful location and right across from a great restaurant for breakfast and lunch!

This is my favorite movie theatre anywhere. Old but classic! It is NOT like the theaters of today. But they have had great movies there. It is cash only though……

I'm old enough to remember when theaters like this were more common, but dying out to the big cinemas. It was a step back in time to watch a movie here and we appreciated that. I loved the nostalgia of the old building and the unique interior that were common for these local theaters. It is great that they are still managing to keep it running.

Old-style theatre that was divided years ago into 4 smaller screening rooms. The place is quaint, but the seats aren't that comfortable, and the sound quality is not up to par. Then again, for only $7 a person (cash only), it's a pleasant enough way to while away a couple of hours watching a movie.

Love this theatre... always speak with the owner who greets you personally, every time...the concession has reasonable pricing (almost cheap).

If only these walls could talk. The building is from the 1920s and I bet it's full of history. I'm sure I've seen movies there 40 years ago.Today it has 4 theaters; ours today had a little over 100 seats and it was a fine place to see a movie.

A local institution that has been around for the better part of a century, the Palace has been turned into four snug theatres and a spill-over fifth for a variety of first run shows for tourists and residents of this resort town. Very reasonable prices and part of the Lake Placid Film Festival each year too.

Don't waste your time or money at this joint. The woman at the ticket booth needs to realize that "tourists" are her paycheck and to treat them somewhat better than she does.
The woman actually scolded me for being in line too early and told me when I should be back in a very terse manner, like I should have known better and was bothering her. I took my family of 8 and we had a great game of miniature golf instead.

We love going to the Palace when we're in Lake Placid.
Movie prices are good. Food prices have gone up since our last visit but are still reasonable (when compared to mainstream theaters).
The only issue we had was that it was ccccold in the theater!! We both had our full winter gear on (boots, jacket, gloves) but by the time the movie was over, we were freezing. It's like the building just sucked the heat out of our bodies. Come with an extra sweater or two and you'll be fine!
Totally worth it for this wonderful old-school movie house!

This is an old theatre, and they do business as if it was still 1938.
It is not accessible for people who cannot do stairs or can’t handle them well.
It is cash only.
The doors do not open until 30 minutes before the first show.
The seats are old and uncomfortable.
On the positive side, they do post showtimes on Facebook. The food is not overpriced.
They block cell phone signals inside—that can be a plus or a minus depending on your POV!
I only go here because there is nowhere else nearby. I don’t like it at all.
