Absolutely incredible experience. We stayed for three days and four nights (wish it was longer) and my wife and I had the time of our lives. Rob and Debbie and the crew run a seamless operation from start to finish. Every single detail is taken care of for you to have an enjoyable stay and a memorable experience. We will absolutely be going back. As an aside, my wife and I have limited diving experience and the team was more than accomodating and helpful even with our lack of experience. I would recommend them for anyone with any type of diving background. Quite an adrenaline rush jumping in the water with a massive bait ball :)

19 days sardine run completed and what an unbelivable amazing experience deliverd by off shore africa, port st johns.
Everything was perfect, great boat, captain and guide (rogan and clive) dropping us on the action everytime, the accommodation and food were top class and a special thank you for Debbie and all the staff for organising and taking care of everyone and everything. Thanks for the epic adventure on 2022 sardine run, I really felt like part of the off shore africa family.

I've had the greatest of the experiences with Offshore Africa recently. The staff is fantastic: Debbie is very caring, always takes care of your needs; the skippers are really experienced, they know how to make you feel safe on board; and the guides are knowledgeable and always know how to make you laugh!
I really feel glad I found them, they have great stories to tell about their past years in the sardine run, they really know what they're doing! Also, they make you feel part of a great family and make you experience the most authentic South Africa.
Sardine Run is about luck, not every day you can have the greatest of the shows, but it's also about experience and they were always the first to find the action.
So I definitely recommend Offshore Africa if you're planning to come and enjoy the sardine run next year!

I did the Sardine run in July of 2021 with Offshore Africa. It was such an incredible experience, wild, amazing and challenging. I felt like I was in a National Geographic movie. Nature is unpredictable, but my group was privileged to see multiple bait balls, lots of dolphins and sharks. We even got to see a Bryde's whale up close and personal! Our skipper and guide were both absolutely fantastic. Not only are they experienced, but they prioritized safety (yours and the creatures) while ensuring that we had an amazing experience. I absolutely recommend them as the best operator; they are the first out on the water and the last to leave. I truly enjoyed my time on the Wild Coast, and would definitely do the Sardine Run again. This is truly one the most beautiful and wild places left in the world.

Wow what a great experience. The Offshore Africa team was unbelievably professional, experienced and insightful.
Firstly, our experience was incredible. We saw and swam with almost everything we could have imagined. We weren't expecting such diversity but what a pleasure it was. One thing that was key for us was to spend a whole week on the ocean to make sure we saw everything.
The captains and guides were amazing - they provided plenty of entertainment and amazing insights into the environment and the animals we were interacting with.
The management and administration was also seamless and we didn't need to worry about anything.

Offshore Africa made our Sardine Run trip just phenomenal! The crew are so amazing in what they do, that our time on the boat, in the water or in the spotter plane was just incredible. Everything was so well organised, meaning that we could fully enjoy the amazing animals we got to see thanks to them. Its definitely a once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget. We will miss the company of such friendly and welcoming people that work with Offshore Africa. We highly recommend to book with them for any type of adventure when you are in the area.

Wir waren 6 Tage auf dem Meer. Es geht morgens 6.30 los bis ca 13-15 Uhr. Auf dem Schlauchboot schaukelt es schon sehr und man muss sich gut festhalten. Zur Not gibt es auch Tabletten gegen Seekrankheit, die wirklich sehr gut sind. Das Gefühl allein auf dem Meer zu sein ist unbeschreiblich. Meistens erlebt man jeden Tag noch etwas besonderes. Für mich sind es besonders Wale. Wenn die dicht am Boot auftauchen und springen. Wir haben Buckelwale, Brydewale und Orcas gesehen. Es gab jede Menge Delphine und wir konnten auch Jagd auf Sardinien beobachten. Es gibt spontane Sardinen Schwärme, die sich bewegen- da muss man schnell reinspringen und schnell wieder ins Boot und wieder von vorn. Es gibt auch Sardinen Schwärme, die stehen und von allen Seiten angegriffen werden, die sind eher selten und haben wir nicht erlebt. Die Crew und Kapitäne sind sehr zuvorkommend und kompetent. Es ist alles super organisiert von Debbie. Sie hilft wo sie nur kann. So konnte ich im Flugzeug mitfliegen, das das Meer nach Aktivitäten überwacht. Alles perfekt und das Essen konnte man auswählen. Die Unterkunft war auch super. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Simply in the very top of the best experiences in my life. Not only the sardine run is an amazing wonder, but the welcoming, professionalism, friendliness and caring of the team makes the experience a one (or more!) In a lifetime adventure! Thanks to all the team for making us feel a part of the family and disconnect from our busy lives. Already planning next year's booking :)

Hi and thanks for the message. The sardine run along our stretch of coastline is typically June & July months. It can begin slightly earlier and it can end slightly later. It is Nature and we cannot say exact dates. It is indeed a special time of the year where there is so much life in the same place and at the same time. We are privileged.
