I planned a party at Billy Beez, and requested from an associate the pricing of the event based on it being Deluxe or Standard. The associate advised me of the two different prices noting Deluxe would be in the mid 500's and Standard 399. When I got to the party, I was advised the total of the party was 509 dollars, and they were unable to accommodate the price the associate advised me of- despite it being written in the file that had party information. The store manager advised me to call customer service, as they would be able to address the concern and rectify the issue.
So, fast forward to Roxy at customer service. She was unwilling to take accountability for the store's mistake (despite the store manager stating wrong doing). She became aggressive in her communication- and informed me because I was given the prices ahead of time, there was nothing she would be doing to address the issue. She changed the narrative completely and said the best she could do is retrain employees.
As she continued to twist my words related to feedback, she noted she was going to end the call and talk to me "when I was calm" I did advise her I would file a complaint with the BBB as well as let party guests know of my experience. Her response advising me I'm really mature and slandering the company because I didn't get what I wanted was not fair. Roxy in customer service then hung up on me.
Was there any good? Yes, the staff that was in our party room was great and communicative.

I would like to share with you my recent experience with Billy Beez (location – Galleria at Crystal Run in Middletown NY). I booked a birthday party for October 23, 2021 for my two daughters turning 5 and 6. Unfortunately the experience from start to finish was unorganized, and unprofessional. To keep this brief I will list the issues we faced from arrival to the end of the party.
- Our Party time was for 11am. We arrived exactly at 11 as we were told that the facility would not open until 11am sharp. Upon arrival NOTHING was prepared. They did not have our pre-signed waivers ready and it took them 10 minutes to locate the staff who had the waivers.
- We were not escorted to our party room, and had no way of knowing where our party would be, they told us, “walk around to the back of the building.”
- The party host did not communicate anything to us, and she was wearing no Billy Beez name tag and house slippers.
- When we finally found our room it was not set up! At this point it was almost 11:30. The room was dirty, there was old dirty socks left on the floor, the tables and floors were a mess. No plates, utensils or balloons. It took the host 45 minutes to get the children their socks!
- Our party did not officially start until 11:45. The party host kept disappearing. I know she was a “shared” host, but the parent from the other party had the same exact issues.
- Soda machine was broken, pizza was cold, and the party host did not provide any napkins or utensils
- We had to wait over 10 minutes for cake utensils and a lighter. The children just sat around the table staring at the cake.
- The last and most offensive part is that at approximately 1:15 the party host told us our time was up and we needed to leave the party room. Our party did not start until 11:45 and that was not our fault. She never even provided cake plates so the kids could not have cake until after 1pm. It was beyond unprofessional, all the staff was fully aware that our party started extremely late.
- When that parents for the 1pm party arrived, they entered our party room and staff were cleaning up before we even had time to pack up the presents. The parents for the 1pm party were clearly agitated and no staff provided an explanation to them that Billy Beez was running behind, not us.
- My kids were anxious and upset, I was embarrassed. I paid over 450 dollars, and received terrible service, in a dirty party room that in the end they rushed us out of!
I understand the facility is short staffed. We did not need a personal party host. What we needed was professional staff that were prepared ahead of time. I only had six children at my party. In total, I spent over $450 dollars for this party. I did not receive the full 120 minutes in a clean party room, timely party room set up, a professional and attentive party host or adequate utensils.

The appearance of the facility looks decent for an indoor playground. Floors look clean and tables get surface wiped. The children like it alot and it can be hours of fun, running around getting exercise, meeting new friends. After coming here a few times now, there is no real management or supervision of the staff. If there is, they are not qualified. A repeated problem I've observed and constructive criticism is, upon entering there has never been more than 2 staff members at the register. 1 is for group party, the other for non party goers. Not enough staff, nor experienced enough to move the line quickly. We waited 20 min with only 1 other family in front of us. To pay, place on bracelets for 4 people. After that we now go through the "secure" entrance, scan your card, doors open. The bracelet is to help protect children from trying to leave the area or anyone other then whom they came with to leave with. It's a great system, however, on the way out, both gates were wide open! Entrance and exit. 2 of my children when the door closed fit right through it. We decided to try it ourselves since NO ONE was at the gate to let us out. We scanned our own card, our own bracelets..the door still did not open fully, so we just went out of the half way open exit door already in that position. I must say, I did like that ot seemed secure at one time. We watched other people going in and out of the exit and the entrance with no staff at the gates, about 15 minutes of this. We left after that, oh and we heard the alarm sound going off after leaving, so not sure if that was from us, if so, no one stopped us or even checked. Sitting in the food area, it appears clean. This particular day/night it was a minimum clean. One fellow took a mop and cleaned under one table, but never left all the litter on the floor..hmm, normally litter pick up 1st, then mop, right?
Table top was wiped, but chairs never put back under tables. Next the snack bar.. every time, I Express EVERY TIME we have gone for a hot pretzel, pizza, or a hot dog, they are never available. We've been told they need to make more, be ready soon...1 full hour later, still none. The hot dogs were frozen, he said waiting for them to thaw out. 1 hr later, still not thawed he said.. so many people turned away..thawing a hot dog is quite simple, think about it. It seems the kids and young adults 2 majority of the time and the same ones I've seen don't want to be bothered with keeping up with the snack bar, unless it's a soda or bagged chip. Its really to bad. I can't understand why this has not been picked up on by Billy Beez higher management or mentioned by others. They are truly loosing money on customers. After all said, will I go back, yes, the kids like it. Besides, I bring my own cleaning sanitizer to wipe table down. Paper towels and I've learned to bring my own snacks and drinks. Billy Beez, get some real responsible staff, your loosing money and probably customers.

I would like to complain about policy you have the a child who is not participating in any activities has to play 10 dollars. Your manager at your Middletown Crystal Run Location was very rude and actually laughed at me when I asked could my 16 year old daughter just sit in a chair. There are approximately 10 kids in this whole place including my two. It's Tuesday night so it not like it's packed or a weekend with lots of kids
Some young women who was at the register told me she was the manager but would not give me her name. When I asked for a printed copy of the policy she told me she didn't have a computer.
She told me to go to the website. I understand your policies are put in place but her excuse was for security. Which when I asked why if she is just sitting down with me how is that security. If it's about Billy Bees making extra to have some sit down for $10.73 that's fine just tell us. Seems like a lot of money to sit in a chair. I guess using the internet you provide is the reason why I had to pay.
However, I understand policies are Policies but the way I was treated was unacceptable. If this is who you put in charge has a manager then I will have to tell everyone I know never to come to Billy Bees at cystral Run in Middletown.

Let's start with the sanitary conditions, unbelievable! As a medical professional I was completely amazed at the lack of cleanliness or basic care by the staff. This is the perfect place for the spread of infectious diseases. We all know that children can be dirty and messy, sneeze and get things dirty. Why oh why wouldn't you clean this place then?
There is another area with toys (dirty toys) that you have to pay extra to go to. I had no idea you had to pay extra (which is not a problem), but I was escorted out of there with my two year-old, who was kicking and screaming to stay. I was not given the option to pay the extra charge to stay.
The staff just doesn't care. They are also rude, and they treat children and parents like you are bothering them (Millennials). One of the staff kids almost started a fight with a customer, and proceeded to insult him and threatened to fight in front of all the children. Several parents had to move their little ones away from the two fools. Truth is, this parent was quite large, so this kid would've gotten beaten up pretty badly. Just stupid attitude.
This place is just not worth it for the amount of money that you pay to try to have a couple of hours of fun with your kids. Go to the McD's Playplace, it's way cleaner, and you at least get some chicken nuggets!

This place is a family favorite. The kids always have a great time. We come here a few times a year and always have blast and leave exhausted.

Not out first Billy Beez, and yet still impressed. This place was clean and not too busy for a rainy Saturday. More importantly, the staff that maintains the entrance was on point. That treated each kid exiting like it was their own family, ensuring no child left with a stranger. Great staff and great way to spend a day out. I will be returning!

I Just left Billy Beez. The campers there were so rude and stood around blocking the way for others. When asked to move several times, my son had to go the long way to the bathroom and he who never has accidents peed in his pants. In speaking to the workers they were no help at all and would not provide a refund, saying they were walking and controlling the crowds. The kicker was that as I went to leave a camp was blocking the exit. I had to ask them several times to clear a path so we could leave. The crowds, lack of control by staff and the terrible customer service will have me never returning!!

OK, let's be honest all these place are a little expensive but it's worth it for the grand kids. Yes you have to pay even if you don't participate. That is no different than going to most of these places. There are numerous chutes and slides for the kids to play on. This is one of the better venues like this that is around. The venue and the bathrooms were extremely clean. The kids had a great time and they want to go back. The service is a little slow but no different than other places. They have a food venue right in the place that is convenient and have lots of tables. This is a great choice for a day activity for kids.

I took my grandchildren here and I received an attitude from the girl taking the money behind the counter. I was surprised at how expensive it is. My husband was going to take the children in the play area and I just wanted to sit at the table area to catch up on some of my emails as I didn't want to go through the play area due to my autoimmune disease. With the attitude, the girl told me that she hears excuses all of the time and I would have to pay beng anywhere in the place. I payed so the kids could have a good time, however, I will not go back there again.
