This sanctuary has a small museum inside with local taxidermized and live local animals on display. There is no charge but donations are accepted. I took my son and his friend here for a hike (5 y/o) and it was perfect for them. The trail wasn't too long for their little legs. There was something to explore at every turn. They had a blast chasing after chipmunks.

Lovely place to hike. Many trails for various levels of ability. Lots of shade. We went when it was 85 degrees and were perfectly comfortable. Easy to get to, between the Armonk and Bedford exits off 684. Ample parking, nature museum (with bathrooms) and benches along the trails if you need to sit for a bit. Would recommend.

It is a nice place to hike with many trails of varying difficulty. It is fairly easy to get to from I-684. A quiet serene place only moderately labelled for learning about trees and plants.

A nice place to hike in Westchester near Pound Ridge and Bedford, NY. A beautiful Hemlock forest. No dogs allowed.

Easy to get to. Hiking trails are well marked and easy to follow so you can string a few trails together for a longer hike or just take a couple of pieces for a shorter outing.

This is a quiet and well managed preserve with an abundance of walking trails in the woods. A rescued 1800's church serves as a nature center and has a number of interesting exhibits. Easy to find in straddling the Bedford / North Castle border.

A Bird almost bit me I have a feeling that the workers there do not keep the animals supervised 24/7. Yes I understand they have a huge amount of property that the workers have to take care of but they have 30 Workers there so I'm never visiting there again.

Lovely place, with various programs that engage both children and adults. Nice house with exhibits. Good trails and grounds. Parking available.
