The walk in the forrest was nice but our guide was not very informative. For some reason we could not go to the mangrove forrest unfortunately. What remained was a visit to the red back monkeys. On the way we saw a glimpse of the elephant shrew. All in all it was a nice visit but not more than that.

Fő látványossága az egésznek a majmok.Az erdő és a mangrove rész is szép,de a majmoké a főszerep.Privát túra keretein belül voltunk.

The idea of the nature park is beautiful and welcome. Unfortunately, implementation is very inadequate and it is only about the fast dollar. Short Forest Walk costs 12 USD per person and takes 1 hour and is also quickly followed because as in the theme park the next 1000 tourists are already waiting. Brief briefing on the protected area focuses essentially on the expected tip. Walking along a well-trodden path along a main thoroughfare and across a chilli field to a tree where 5 monkeys hang out (you can see them on the island anyway) past 3 cow flats is the nature reserve adventure. With the huge revenue generated here every day, it is all the more disappointing that you stumble across plastic bottles and garbage all over the forest. On an island where plastic is banned? One should not support this tourissmus rip-off!! You don't do the forest any favors.

If you are doing this trip in isolation then no need to book a tour! Just take a taxi or hire a bike / car, turn up and pay 25k shillings ( you’ll pay about $3 more per person i.e. $12 instead of $9 if you pay in dollars) and off you go in no time with a tour guide. The tour should last about an hour and you will see monkeys as well as crabs and the mangrove swamp. It’s nothing special but if you go as a family the kids should enjoy it. Be warned the guide will ask for a tip even though it’s supposed to be included in the admission price.

We loved the tour. Seeing the monkeys in their natural habitat was priceless. They also took is to a mangrove forest, which was beautiful.

We got our hotel to sort a car and driver who took us to the park. You don't need to book an expensive tour, as when you pay you get an excellent local guide. We saw grey monkey, Colobus monkey, elephant shrew and more, all in a one hour visit. At 12 dollars per person it is a good value , must do visit.

The forest is a beautiful forest but remains a forest. Do not opt for the French guide to flee!! She told us “look at a fern it’s rare” good. We've seen it all! To flee do it yourself!

It was a big forest, we saw two different kind of monkey species , different trees, mangroves. But the park it self is not prepared with good restrooms, nor a cafeteria or any other activities like mangroves kayak, info about the monkeys.
The whole island , they expect to be given tips, it was mentioned in the rules billboard.

We had 3 days in zanzibar island with Babli.He helped us choose the best things in the island and jozani was among the tours.It was nice to see the monkeys very close in their enviroment.it was a very interesting tour.Babli was very helpful .his whatsaap +255756983368.It was a nice tour and very lucky to see both black and red colobus monkeys

Yes, at the beginning ranger station. Once you leave on the tour, then no because you're out in the jungle for 90 minutes or so.

Hi, there are guides from the park available after you buy your ticket. As far as I understood, a guide was dedicated to several self-driven visitors. We had to wait a few minutes while enough independent travellers gathered, then we started the walk around monkeys and then to mangroves. One of the visitor even took the guide with his car to the mangroves.

אפשר להגיע ברכב ולראות אתהקופים יש מסלול הליכה של יער לא עביר לגלגלים נראה לי ...זא כסא גלגלים או קלנועית קטנה ייתקשו מאד אבל מעל המנגרובים יש דק עץ אפשרי לשני הנ״ל !!

In June ,July and August ,these months is good to visit in Zanzibar Stone Town and beach villages doing various tours ,excursions,transfers and relaxing on the beach, there are brilliants tours like Stone town tours,prison island tour,spice tour,safari blue tour,dolphins adventure and jozani forest, it is best months because rain season is cut off and is nice sun shine and breezing. Book to visit in Zanzibar and you are warmly welcome.
