Bought a chess set. Was careful with the risk of needing to get it delivered to USA. Made it clear to them that no signature needed for delivery. Written down instructions on the order and shipping instructions.
Shipped from Greece on 15 jul , purchased date on 10 Jul. Elta which is the Greece courier passed on to Usps on 18 jul, this is when the nightmare begins.
USPS did not drop the parcel leavinf note needing signature, requested for redelivery, USPS confirmed but did a no show.
Having paid some 45 Euro for the shipment , we will now need to take time to drive to local USPS branch to search for the parcel.
Apollon sell expensive stuffs , please do not go cheap on the courier. Partner with FedEx or UPS please, not USPS.

This is my favorite of 5 places at which I bought jewelry during a trip to Greece in September and October, 2016. They had a wonderful selection of jewelry and art, but what made the shop special was the the staff. They were helpful without being pests unlike many shopkeepers, especially those in Plaka. The prices were fair, despite being located in Santorini. The manager Matheos went out of his way when I had trouble getting one of the earrings on and insisted on changing the wires on both earrings to a type that would be easier to use. The real test came several days later when I caught my new bracelet on something and opened one of the links. I emailed the shop and arranged for our tour guide to bring the damaged bracelet back to the shop on the yacht's next stop in Santorini. However, there was a weather related change in the order of islands visited and the yacht did not stop on Santorini on the expected day. Matheos took the trouble to email me to tell me that the bracelet had not been dropped off. I got in touch with the tour company and found that the bracelet would be dropped off the following day. Rather than making a repair that might not have held up over time, Matheos mailed an entirely new bracelet to my home in the US. If the situation had involved a less honest business, it would have been easy for them to have told me that it was my own fault for breaking the bracelet, keep the bracelet once it had been returned or mail me the repaired bracelet rather than a new one. If I have another chance to visit lovely Santorini, I look forward to shopping at Apollon Gallery again. I can recommend the location for those accompanied by non-shoppers as my travel companion found a wall across the alley from the shop to sit and enjoy the stunning view over the caldera. Those shopping for gifts will find a wide range of unique jewelry at remarkably affordable prices.

Το κατάστημα διαθέτει εξαιρετικού γούστου και ποιότητας πράγματα. Ο ιδιοκτήτης και οι υπάλληλοι είναι πάντα πρόθυμοι να εξυπηρετήσουν, με μεγάλη υπομονή και ευγένεια. Αξίζει να το επισκεφτείτε.

This shop is right next to a post so you can purchase all your post cards with stamps and mail them immediately. It also contained the montecristo mini cigars I love to smoke on vacation. Great prices and many other trinkets and souvenirs. Lovely couple runs the shop.

I bought a lovely ceramic glass sailing ship in this shop which they packaged up very well for me to take back to the UK. There are some beautiful pieces of art in this shop as well as items that would make a great present for a special occasion.

This was one of the first shops my mom and I stepped in to when we arrived in Oia. I was immediately drawn to a beautiful Byzantine chess set for my husband. We shopped around for nearly a week and failed to find anything as beautifully made and for the price they offered it at. We ended going back and purchasing gifts for our husbands here. The service was wonderful - they were attentive and helpful without hovering and they take a great deal of pride in making sure to package your purchases in a way that will ensure they make it home in one piece! I'm very picky with my purchases (it only takes getting duped once to develop a wariness of it happening again) and I am so happy with my purchase from this shop - and my husband loved it!

My wife and i visited Santorini in 2012, celebrating in part our 40th Anniversary. Before we left our daughter (we had previously visited Santorini) asked that we visit a particular jewelry store and pick up another piece for her. It was enamel on silver, and she could find nothing similar anywhere else in the world. The jewelry was entirely unique. She gave us rather detailed instructions to the store in Fira. We found the store, picked out a piece that we thought she would like, and while we were there my wife found some earrings that she absolutely loved, so we got those as well.
This year one of the earrings had a post that was loose, so we took it to a local jeweler to be repaired. Instead, they over-heated the piece, ruining the enamel. Fortunately, I still had the receipt and was able to determine that the store in Fira was run by Matheos Kazanarakis who operates a number of stores on Santorini, including the Apollon Gallery. I sent Matheos an email asking him if they had a similar piece that we could purchase.
He promptly responded, stated that the post should not have come loose, and said if we would return the piece to him he would repair it free of charge and return it to us. That is exactly what happened. We sent the piece via mail from Arizona, it arrived in Greece, Matheos repaired it and sent us pictures of the repair to both the post and the enamel to make sure it was acceptable, and then returned it. It took about a month with the mail delay, but we are extremely pleased.
Matheos was excellent throughout this. I recommend the Apollon Gallery and his other businesses without reservation. He obviously really stands behind his business.

I sent postcards from this shop but they never arrive. I wonder if anyone else has the same problem
