We had a tire going flat and the engineer (Ryan) and other crew members could not have been more helpful. Ryan filled the tire with air twice to keep it from going totally flat and told me of a tire shop in Port Jefferson to get it fixed. They really saved us from getting stuck on the road.
I have always found this ferry to be accommodating with the booking. We have changed our reservations while driving to the Bridgeport ferry as our long drive from western NY sometimes takes longer and sometimes takes less time. They have always changed our reservations without a hassle.

Cost keeps going up, service goes down. They still do not have wifi on the boat. Boat staff has bad additive.

The bartender ROBERT is the most unprofessional, rude, nasty & arrogant man I've ever met. He is totally obnoxious to all the people all the time. How he has kept his job for so many years is beyond comprehension! He MUST be related to one of the McAllister brothers (owners of the company).

I would rate zero if it was possible. My car was damaged because a crew member directed me into a pole. Then he runs away and says ‘oh sh*t’, and was never seen for the remainder of the trip. When his boss, a Chris T, from the ‘C Crew’ was approached, he passed the responsibility on it on to this woman Heather A. who has yet to respond.
It’s run but total clowns. Avoid at all costs. Literally. They heard you in like cattle and don’t care about your safety or property.

The crossing on the "Park City" Ferry from Port Jefferson to Bridgeport , Ct, was a lovely refreshing experience after driving many miles on our "Hamptons" vacation.
My Great Granddaughter thought it was a high light of her Grad Trip!!!

Easy on and off, nice ride, helpful staff. Sure beats a horrible ride across the George Washington Bridge and Cross Bronx Expwy to Long Island, cost is close to the same price with an the tolls. Nice relaxing ride on the ferry.

There was supposedly a rule that if you were inside the cabin, then you had to wear a mask. Which makes sense as Covid cases are still rising. And let's face it, is it really that hard to wear a mask?
Apparently YES it is; not only were 90% of the passengers unmasked, but the staff as well is "back to normal." Which would be fine, except that there is still an unpredictable virus out there. I'm totally not impressed.
But if you're the sort of person who is "so over Covid" and ready to move on, then this will be the perfect ferry experience for you and you can mingle with your fellow unmasked travelers.

A smooth ride with a great view Good staff. The ferry was easy to drive on and off. The food was good and the coffee was very good.

Come on...it's a car ferry. But it was a nice way to break up a long drive from Philly to Portsmouth (we were stopping on LI anyway). The reservations could have been easier but everything else went smooth. We happened to have a great sunny day so we all sat up on deck which was good because the inside seating looked very awkward.

Do they have an unlimited 30 monthly pass for the car and passenger from port Jeff to Bridgeport ? And how much
They do have monthly passes. Fees are on the website.

There are plenty of parkings at a designated area at the terminal. We just parked our car on the road side for our day outing. Have fun.

Yes. The New London Ferry Terminal is located in Orient, Long Island. Different Ferry than the Bridgeport to Port Jefferson Ferry. Different boats, rules and pricing.

Car and driver missed the ferry. I thought there was a 30 day window to use the tickets only to be told it had to be used that day. We lost all that money. Is there any 30 policy to use these tickets?

I understand the ferry no longer has parking and you need to park in a parking garage and be shuttled to the ferry my question is does the handicap parking spaces still exist near the ferry if anyone could please let me know I'm not sure a wheelchair will be able to be loaded onto the shuttle
