An absolute must visit when you're in the Lake George NY region.
Definitely grab one of the walking sticks at the beginning of the tour because the paths are rocky and steep in some areas. Highly recommend!

This is such a great find! It's a must-do any time of year but winter is my favorite! I bring my out of town family and friends here every year to snow shoe and the experience is always fantastic! No one in our party has snowshoes so being able to rent what you need is definitely a plus. The scenery is breathtaking, and the hikes manageable. There are even s'mores at the end! In addition, the family that owns and manages the property are really kind and make you feel very welcome. Highly recommend!

I had the opportunity to visit Natural Stone Bridge and Caves with 3 girl friends. It was a great way to spend time together enjoying the beauty of rock formations, caves and sounds of waterfalls. It invites you to slow down and take time to enjoy a slice of Mother Nature at her finest.
Natural Stone Bridge and Caves is well maintained and cared for with friendly and welcoming staff. I will definitely be back.

The caves and trails are awesome! We went last year and again this year. Last year there were several children that could not behave themselves on the trail and we skipped part of the trail to try to get away from them. We returned this year to attempt to complete the whole trail. We did see the section that we missed last year. But there were so many people on the trail that we felt like we were being rushed through. There are several areas that have signage asking people to wait for the party in front of them, but many people just crowd you until you leave to get away from them. It’s a beautiful area, but I won’t be returning.

Glad you reported the trails were awesome. Sorry for some of our other visitors...
If you want to avoid others, consider visiting during the spring or late fall.

We did the self guided tour because many of the caves were closed due to excessive rainfall. It did not disappoint! Well marked trails, neat outlooks on waterfalls, and a fabulous rock and fossil shop! Very inexpensive for families and a lot of fun!

We had a great time this past weekend! Thoroughly enjoyed it. We were sorry we weren't able to experience the caves. So much water with all the previous weeks of rain.

Even though I think the prices are a bit steep for the basic self-guided tour, the surroundings are beautiful and also unusual enough to take many photos. I appreciate the owners keeping the attractions as natural as possible given safety constraints and keeping it free of litter. Seeing the cave swimmers may have made my opinion on the price change and I hope that they return.
Overall, I enjoyed my time there and recommend the splurge.

We visited Natural Stone Bridge and Caves on June 5th, we were so happy to have gone! It was a highlight of our trip. A great place to see the art work of our Mother Earth and our Creator.
Every photo I took was truly a work of art, and not because of my photo skills, but just the natural spectacle that we had the joy of experiencing.
I do want to note that many spots is not an easy walk. If I did not have 2, new knees, I could not have seen some areas. Rubber soled shoes, not sandals or flip flops, are a must, so keep that in mind.
We brought our hiking sticks but they do offer ones for you to borrow for the hike, and I recommend using one. Some of the steps my husband called “Mayan steps” because they are high like the ones on the Mayan or Inca pyramids, which are quite high. The sticks, or canes, help push up onto the steps. There are railings, everywhere and lots of places to sit, along the way.
There are plenty of places to walk there, too, that are not as hard, and were the proper shoes!
I really like being able to go inside of a couple of the caves, and enjoyed how they lit up some spaces to make it easy to see.
We also had back packs with water and snacks. We carry little bags to put our own trash into our backpacks. They do have trash bins, along the way. Please, do not litter. Put your trash in a proper place.
I thought it was good that that they had a “mining” place and a “dinosaur” place, for the kids and their little museum.
I suggest NOT taking very small children on the hike, who are not aware enough to stay safe. I would say, depending on your child, and their maturity and ability to behave, age 7 and up, should be fine, but you know your own child better than anyone. It can be VERY dangerous if they are left to run willy nilly and/or NOT listen.
The gift shop was wonderful. So many great treasures, big and small. We found a beautiful geode to give to our grandchild and other nice things.
We are 68 and 73, and we made the entire trek, but boy, were we tired. If I were 30 years younger, it would not be so much, but if we can do it, so many others can, also.
It is definitely something that I think everyone should get to experience. Life is too short not to smell the roses and see the wonderful displays of nature at the Natural Stone Bridge and Caves.

Are there real caves to walk into? If so, how deep do they go?
撰写日期:2018年7月25日
Visitors on the self guided tour see the largest marble cave entrance in the USA and see two surface caves, including Noisy Cave with a lighted waterfalls that is 40' from the entrance. Much of this young cave system made from ancient rock is still filled with water from Trout Brook.
Visitors on the guided Adventure Tour go on cave crawls, see cave formations and ends with a cave float from Echo Cave through Garnet Cave.

My teenagers certainly did. They do love hiking and water and rocks though, so your results may vary of course.

Would this be suitable for an almost 3 year old? We are concerned about the amount and intensity of the trail. How much walking is involved all together? What is the process-do we park, walk trail to get to caves/bridge/kids activities(gem mining,Dino dig etc)/and rock shop. Then walk back trail to get to the car? Or is it in a loop? Thanks!!

Families with all ages visit on a daily basis. Having said that, the most demanding age are the toddlers - many of whom get a ride in a backpack. You should hold their hand at spots and not let them run off on their own, children should always be supervised. The trail has loops but you can cut some of them short if you have little ones that are getting tired. You go at your own rate and there are plenty of spots to stop and rest. We do not suggest doing the 3/4th mile tour with up/down uneven rock steps if you have any health issues that would prohibit your ability to navigate the trail. All the other activities are located up by the entrance/gift shop area. Hope this helps with your decision as everyone is different in their abilities and only you know what is best for you and your child.
