Do not recommend this establishment if you are black or a person of color. My family and I decided to go somewhere new. Only ordered one beer at this time. The owner was cleaning the tables and dropped off a baby's bottle. A patron was carving on a table while he was talking to them. That propels my uncle (white) to do the same "on the already curved/tagged table." Then passed it over to me to do the same. I didn't even get a chance to. The owner stated you can not write on it. (Please note: If the table wasn't already curved and it wasn't perceived as welcoming to do so, I would never attempt it.) So my aunt went up to him and asked why u didn't say anything to the people who were doing it in your face or my husband. He stated, "It's my shop." It was indeed, so we left.
Note to the owner: Allowing certain groups to do something in your "shop" while excluding others can create a sense of division and unfairness. Every customer should be treated with respect and given equal opportunities to enjoy the offerings of your establishment. If it's not the offerings of your establishment, update your tables and note this.
That being said, dine at your own risk.

If we can do no stars, we would. My GF, my self and the family were here today, and while we were awaiting our order to come out, we noticed that people there were carving their names into the tables, which seemed like a common thing at this establishment - anyways, my girlfriend’s, aunts husband (Caucasian) started joining in carving his name into the table, along with other customers - however when my GF (Black) went to do it as well, the alleged “owner” stopped what he was doing to come to her and say “you can’t do that” but when confronted on why he didn’t say anything to her aunts husband and the other people doing the same thing in his face, he said “this is my shop” so we all left and walked out right after that, so if you’re a minority, please be aware of this.

This little hole in the wall is a hidden gem! The selection of beers and cocktails are excellent and reasonably priced. Two of us left stuffed after sharing a savory pretzel and “wurst case” entree. The wursts were of excellent quality, despite being purchased, rather than house made. The drinks are unique, with variations available and priced according to alcohol content and complexity. The fries on the wurst platter were superb-fresh and crunchy with a nice, light seasoning.
Wolff’s is dog-friendly and will fill your growler if you bring it in.
Definitely a place to return to!

Beer and setup is AWESOME! Food leaves a little to be desired (free peanuts which is awesome!. Free Birthday Boot so def go that day with ID!!

I went there on my birthday to drink a boot of beer: you put a $40 deposit, leave your drivers license and get a 2L boot of beer. I went to return the boot and get my deposit and DL. By accident, I forgot to put my mask on, although it was strapped to my arm. The (very young) bartender asked, using a fairly harsh tone, for me to put my mask on, which I immediately did, and apologized for it. The bar tender then continued with his extremely aggressive language, throwing the f-ward around about a fine they recently got (I believe he was referring to their recent liquor license suspension). I asked him politely to watch his language and just check me out. He proceeded to throw the money and DL across the counter towards me (the DL fell on the floor) and said "get the f*** out of here and never come back". I asked to speak to the manager, he said he is the manager, asked for his name, he refused to write it down for me, and when I insisted for his name he proceeded to call the police on me ... police did not show up for the next few minutes I was still there, so I am not sure if he actually called them or not, but quite a way to impress on your customers to come back! Mind you, this is on my birthday on a Saturday evening. As we were getting ready to leave he was making obscene gestures at me and on the way out he followed my friends and I and whispered under his breath "you guys are a bunch of p*****!" That whole experience was unreal! I am reaching out to the owner to let him know how his managers are treating their clients. Hopefully he'll receive my message or read this. Needless to say, I am not going there again.

Horrible food and horrible service. We went there on a Saturday night and there was one poor guy taking the orders, cashing you out and making the food. He took about five orders and then began to cook them. It all came out cold. Additionally, it didn’t taste good. Perhaps we would’ve enjoyed it if we were drunk college kids. The two bartenders were horrible. Very slow and only seem to serve one side of the bar. Don’t waste your time there are plenty of other places in Schenectady to eat and drink.

I've extensively traveled throughout Germany, and this is the closest thing I've encountered to a German beer garden stateside.
First let me tell you what it ISN'T.
It isn't fancy, pretentious or trendy. Also, it isn't a primarily "craft beer" establishment. I DO enjoy craft beer, and have so longer than most people I know. However, they have managed to avoid the flavor-of-the-month trend many other places fall into (ie; 23 IPAs, 9 sours and a 'juice bomb').
Wolf's IS relaxed, casual, and a great place for fine beer, good food and fun. There always seens to be a football (soccer) game on, but it's far from being a 'sports bar'. You can ignore the game and have a conversation is you wish. As I mentioned earlier, it's not a Mecca for craft beer. The beer is mostly from major breweries in Germany. Breweries that take their craft very seriously, and are more focused on their product than their market share. The food is basic, straight forward German inspired fare; as damn, is it good.
There is always music playing, but it's never oppressively loud. For diversion, they have several dart boards, and a ping pong table that appears to have been made by back woodsmen, or bears.
If you go (and you really should) consider taxis, Uber or public transit to and from. It's easy, very easy to spend far more time there than you originally planned.

Not much to really talk up, but if you are a diehard soccer fan and don't care for typical "lawn mower" beers, this IS the place. Baskets of peanuts are plentiful both on the bar and on the biergarten style of seating at tables encusre a great game as well as the conviviality of us soccer fanatics.

Decent beer selection. The vibe is ok. Food offerings are limited and forgettable. Overall it’s just another bar. Outdoor seating is the highlight.
