I wasn't sure what to expect when we recently booked a company party on the boat. I was pleasantly surprised. The deck where we had our party was so pretty, it was much more elegant than I would expect on a boat with linen tablecloths and napkins folded in a special design. The buffet dinner was good and there was plenty of food for everyone. I especially liked the stuffed chicken breast and the mashed potatoes and gravy. The vegetable lasagna didn't really hold together, it was more like a casserole you needed to spoon out. The dessert table amazing, several types of cheese cake, carrot cake, chocolate cake, and a delicious coconut cake. The DJ was very accommodating with our special request. The upstairs deck was magical, large and uncrowded with a separate bar and DJ. But you could also find a quiet place at the railing to watch the Albany skyline. This was all very good but the best thing of the night was the quality of the staff. They were helpful and friendly and polite. As the organizer, they were always right there if we needed anything. But they already had paid attention to detail ahead of time so there wasn't really anything that I had to ask for. Top notch staff. We've talked about making it an annual thing at work. Very nice experience!

We spent the 4th of July aboard the J.P.III We left from the West Point Dock after a tour of West Point. We enjoyed lunch and dinner aboard the vessel. As evening approuched we went to the top deck and set on deck chairs provided by the cruise company. It was there that we enjoyed the Macy's fireworks. We also had a Elvis entertaine us in the afternoon.

Looking for a couple of fun hours floating down the Hudson River? Book a dinner cruise on the Capt JP. The food is great and the views are even greater!

We attended an event on the JP in September 2017- it was faaaaantastic! We were delightfully surprised by the smoothness of the sailing, but especially with the quality of the buffet dinner. So many nice choices, and all were cooked to perfection -not an easy task for so many people. We loved the music and the atmosphere - this was a party for young teenagers: they were kept busy with games and fun, while the adults could sit and chat while watching the scenery go by, or go upstairs and outside to enjoy the air. Highly recommend!!

The Troy High School Class of 1965 gathered on this cruise on Oct 7, 2017. Our small group enjoyed a nice ride to Albany and back with a great prime rib, salmon, eggplant parmesan, veggies, potatoes, salad and deserts of cake - all of which was super tasty! Choice of music by the DJ matched our hs memories! Crew was very helpful! Drinks were reasonably priced - overall a great experience. We will look forward to another ride on this cruise!

We were on this ship for a party. The entire affair was excellent. They are very well organized. The food was very good and plentiful; the music/entertainment great; and service by the crew very professional. I enjoyed the commentary as we moved down the River about the sites along the water. This is a perfect way to spend an afternoon on a Sunday.

Joined a group on a perfect sunny day for lunch and a cruise. Did not have high expectations BUT was more than pleasantly surprised. Boat is immaculate, food is very good, the duo that entertained us after lunch were quite good, service was fast and friendly, and who can forget Capt. Mike and his knowledge of the river and its many sites. We had baked chicken, prime rib and a most delicious vegetable lasagna (went back for 2nds, it was that good as was the fresh salad.) Dessert: pies, cakes: a huge variety. There is a cash bar aboard. After lunch we went out to the back deck and enjoyed the trip back from Albany to Troy. Highly recommend JP Cruises. How about a prime rib dinner and dancing, and was told by friends they repeatedly go for the Sunday brunch

My parents, my boyfriend and I were invited to a lunch cruise buy an investment company that we do business with and this is a summer event they do every year for their clients but it was the first time I had attended. The boat was clean and nicely decorated with 4 decks, they also had a DJ which was very nice and a full bar which included liquor. There was a full lunch buffet with a carving station that had a full turkey and prime rib, both of which were very good and they also had an amazing dessert table with four different cakes two different pies and a variety of different cheesecakes all of which were excellent, I tried a little of each. The captain was friendly and knowledgeable and the ride was extremely pleasant, beautiful view of the cities of Troy and Albany. The weather was absolutely perfect but I have no doubt even if it was a rainy day that it would be a great cruise from inside the boat.

I attended my High School Reunion and it was great. Not only did we have a wonderful breakfast buffet but we had time to see the old sites, enjoy great music of our time. It was a first class event and I enjoyed it very much.

Our company is booked for your dinner cruise, we will be gathering I believe in you third floor and I am wondering if both getting aboard and getting to each level are handicapped accessible?

When unsure, ask questions. I called the Captain JP Cruise Lines - they are handicapped accessible up to the second floor, then it is stairs. Hope this is helpful.
