My first time experiencing snow was here and I couldn't have chosen a better place, but on the other hand, skiing and so on was quite bureaucratic.

We went for the second time and it was very magical. Even though it was the end of May, it was very snowy. The station was closed but we managed to enjoy the atmosphere and take some photos. Then we had lunch at the local restaurant and left.

The employees at Valle Nevado are horrible. The service is terrible, it was the worst place I saw, very expensive for such bad service. I don't recommend going, there are other parks and better places in Chile. Furthermore, this place is not safe, it offers a lot of risks and danger! The employees at Valle Nevado are horrible. Very badly. Employees act crazy, not respecting the policies described on the Valle Nevado website. Milena Peralta and Paz Pilade have no character! Boycott Valle Nevado until its administrators act in good faith.

My boyfriend and I bought two Ski Day tickets for beginners because we were told that for this activity it would be a better option than Farellones. We never had contact with snow and this was a very special moment for us.

We had scheduled a Ski class (adult primeras virajes) first thing in the morning, at 11am, but we couldn't take advantage of it due to the snowfall, as we arrived in the Valley at 10:32am. However, as soon as we arrived at Maison Central, we went to the ticket counter to validate the ticket and with the help of our guide, who explained what had happened on the road (attached), we were transferred to the 12pm class. We soon got equipped and upon leaving, we asked the same attendant for directions to the classes, who told us to go with another employee, dressed in red, outside. He asked us to wait for transport.

Soon a truck arrived and we were transported to the location with another couple, and when we arrived there, the attendant Kim informed us that there would only be classes at 1 pm. So, to try to make the most of the day, we tried to practice on the first track right after the structure. However, there was obviously frustration.

It turns out that this in itself was not a problem. When we managed to go down after countless falls on the slope — logically as it was our first contact with the equipment and the snow — we decided to go up again to go to the ski class at the scheduled time (at 1 pm).

So, we took the VAI E VEM Andes express, and had help from an employee to get on, who helped us and put us on the shuttle (1 in each due to the inexperience of both of them). However, at the top of the climb, to welcome the skiers, there was a visibly irritated employee speaking offensive and incomprehensible words to us who were newbies. After that, when leaving the shuttle, Carlos (my boyfriend) slipped and fell in the snow, and this visibly irritated employee started to offend him. However, he remained on the ground at risk due to the movement of the chairlifts, obviously having difficulty getting up as he had the board on his foot.

The employee “JUAN” came to help him get up nervously, calling him WEAK (as he was unable to stand) and being insulted, aggressively. To further complicate the situation, he was drinking coffee and dropped it in the snow. Angry, he then kicked the snow and coffee in Carlos' face, taking advantage of the fact that he was still down. When Carlos got up with his help, who insisted on calling him weak, we asked him his name, and he said he was JUAN and that we could complain to the administration and nothing would happen.

We have never been treated like this anywhere in the world, much less on a vacation trip. Even though I paid more expensive tickets to enjoy the park, in addition to not being able to take the contracted class. We went to Kim again looking for the manager. She indicated that manager Mirian was not present at the time and that there was no way to speak to her.

At this point, 12:45, right after all these problems, we prepared to go to the snowboarding class even without wanting to, however, we were informed that this would only take place at 2 pm, that is, once again, it was a different time than that had been agreed.

For us, 2 pm was not viable as our return was at 3:30 pm. And therefore, we did not attend class.

We found the SAC, where the employee PAULINA instructed us to forward the information by email, as we do now.

We went through a uniquely vexing situation, in addition to paying for a service and not being able to use it, we really planned this trip with the desire to experience the snow.

On the same day, 09/08/2023, I registered via email the unfortunate frustration and immense disappointment due to the prejudiced and discordant treatment that my boyfriend and I received — including in an offensive way — by the park employees.

I was responded to by SAC on 09/12/2023, with the promise of refunding the value of the tickets. It turns out that to date the amounts have not been reimbursed. I sent all the requested data so that the return could be made, but my emails continue to be ignored by the team.

I just wish they would comply with the refund of the amounts, which were not cheap!!

The nature part is impeccable! The snowy mountain, the landscapes and even the road are extremely incredible, especially for those experiencing snow for the first time, as was my case. Being there is a very good and indescribable feeling.
The problem is the human part. Well, it's not a problem that will upset or hinder the experience, but everyone needs to know about it.
I really don't care about the high price to be paid to climb the mountain, ski or snowboard etc. However, the values practiced for what is offered do not seem fair to me. Let me explain: they sell ski or snowboard lessons. In my case, I opted for skiing and two hours of lessons are promised to give me a minimum understanding. Well, it didn't last 30 minutes and obviously I didn't learn anything lol
This made the experience considerably more expensive, because it is only allowed to purchase free access to the mountain. So, this is something to be rethought.
Furthermore, the rental of appropriate equipment and clothing can be more than double outside the complex (this was advised by the agency, so it depends on each person's choice).
Furthermore, I think it's worth it because we won't see snow again anytime soon, but be aware of this “problem”.

Experience for those who don't know how to ski, a good place, but more so for those who already know this sport, good art I would say.
Excellent and beautiful landscapes.
The food is very good at the hotel, prices very similar to Tiquisia so I don't miss the high prices.

Although the snow is very good, the quality of the human service leaves much to be desired, from information to skiers regarding possible problems in the lifts/lifts, equipment rental, as well as the lack of gastronomic variety for the skiers. visitors, without taking into account the excessive cost of access. Everything suggests that taking care of the skier/tourist/visitor/client is not important or necessary, there is more to come.

Beautiful but disorganized place. I went on 08/22/2023 with my girlfriend, they sold us the ticket worth 110,000 pesos, but the park didn't open, on the same day they said that the refund request had been made and that it would take 7 to 12 days for us to receive it.
It's been 30 days and still nothing, they don't respond to emails or social media and so far no justification for resolving my problem.
The 0800 number here in Brazil doesn't answer, anyway. What was a dream was ruined, I paid a lot to not enjoy it and the least they could do was give me my money back but they didn't do it and they even lied saying that the refund request had already been made.
I do not recommend!

On weekends (when there are the most local skiers), the only public parking lot fills up quickly. Consequently, they make you park along the route that connects "Plaza de la Gondola" and the Hotel upstairs (even if there are quite a few spaces available, upstairs, which are reserved for hotel owners and clients). Everything normal, until then. Once parked, they tell you that the COURTESY BUS will take you from your car to Plaza Gondola or the Hotel (depending on which is closer); and at the end of the day, he will take you to your car. This is where Valle Nevado FAILS blatantly: many times, the Courtesy Bus DOES NOT STOP for you. And two consecutive weekends, I also couldn't get the Courtesy Bus to leave me at my car (where they forced me to park), claiming that the Courtesy Bus only made the direct route from Plaza Gondola to the Hotel!!! Please!
The first time, I told myself I was unlucky and had gotten an uncooperative driver. But now there are two weeks in a row where EXACTLY THE SAME HAPPENS, which means that it is Valle Nevado's policy: "make the clients park along the route, and then leave them standing there, without them having a way to get back to their place!" car!" Damn!" In the competitor La Parva, where they have the same parking problem, at least the Courtesy Bus has a policy of stopping where one had to park (that, at the request of the Ski Center itself.) I don't know Why can't Valle Nevado do the same, which is common sense, logical (if they are the ones telling you to park there), MINIMAL courtesy, and normal kindness (Walk up to a kilometer almost 3,000m away. height with all the equipment is not to recommend to anyone!)
