Our overseas visitors were very impressed with Geographe Bay and surrounds, they enjoyed the views from the jetty and train and later when I took them for a drive to various areas accessible to vehicles.

The house is excellent very well presented and equipped.
Large comfortable beds and a lovely kitchen and lounge overlooking the marina. Highly recommended.

We stayed near the waterfront at Dunsborough and each morning I enjoyed a long walk along the beach, as well as the beachfront boulevard - both footpath and cycleway. It's very popular with locals and visitors alike and easy to see why. Geographe Bay is a beautiful body of water. Decided that the sunrise over the bay might be worth catching so on last day set the alarm and got up early. So glad I did - the sunrise was simply sublime. I think as good as I have ever seen.

Walked to the beach each day whilst we stayed in Dunsborough. Lovely clean beach and very shallow. We were able to spot a few small pods of whales a few hundred metres off shore- lovely. The path along the beach is excellent and there are also spots where there is 'fitness' type equipment available for the keen at heart.

I was here on a cloudy day, but it was still lovely. Had hoped for a swim, but dipped out. Sand is soft, so be careful driving on beach.

This is a magnificent area set out around the bay. Its usually calm waters are full of wildlife and activity.
The walking/bicycle paths stretch largely around the bay providing a peaceful ride or gentle stroll. This is fantastic area for families with young children. To make it better most of the accommodation back onto the bay which provide easy access to the beach. This also provides lots of options for a meal at one of the several restaurants and bars.
This is one of my favourite areas in which to stay.

Hire a bicycle from the visitors centre and ride along the bike path for about 6km to Sensations cafe for a coffee.

Anywhere other than Western Australia this would be an outstanding setting. It is but WA has far too many outstanding beaches!
Geographe is definately worth a visitif you're in the area and want to relax and maybe a swim.

Growing up we use to go here every year and it is beautiful. The only issue i have is the stinger jellyfish! watch out

Planning a trip to the SW triangle of WA from early October for a month to take in Perth down to Augusta then across to Esperance. Will it be too windy then to enjoy the beaches of Geograohe Bay? Would mid November be less windy?

It will be windy, but November is even more windy, you will always get wind along the coast any time of the year, I used to go to the south west as a child and can always remember the wind, the trick is always go early in the morning before the wind starts to get stronger, every day is different, some less windy than others.
